Rita Ora insists that the dress she wore for You Only Love Me was NOT her wedding dress
Rita Ora has quashed rumors that the wedding dress she wore in the music video for her new single was the same dress she wore to her own nuptials.
The 32-year-old singer appeared on The One Show on Friday to discuss the release of her single You Only Love Me and how she’s being more “honest” in her music.
The music video for the long-awaited song shows Rita getting ready for a fictional wedding and donning a stunning white gown and veil.

However, Rita debunked any claims that the wedding dress was her actual wedding dress, after she finally confirmed that she had married Taika Waititi.
When asked about the dress by presenter Alex Jones, Rita said: ‘No, it wasn’t actually the one I wore!
“It was fun to do a twist because it was my version of my inspirations: Edward Scissorhands, Heathers, Bridezilla. I always wanted to play that character.”
Although it wasn’t her actual wedding dress, Rita went on to talk about how her personal life influenced her single, admitting that her latest song is her most “honest”.

She said that she is being more “open” by bringing her personal life into her music and said that she is in a “new era”, saying that her upcoming songs will tell her story.
She said of her new single: ‘I guess it’s a lot more honest. For example, this record has Taika’s vocals, so I’ve been very open about bringing a lot of my personal life to this record and the music does the talking.
‘As soon as you see the release out, you’ll see the story out!’
“This is a really new era for me and I’m so excited to share my story with everyone,” she added.

The Poison hitmaker went on to explain that she wants her music to feel ‘really personal’ as she talks about how her life has inspired her new song.
“The inspiration was, it’s my life and where I’m at right now, it’s good to be in the moment and be present and sing about how I’m feeling right now,” she said.
“I’m in a very good place right now, I feel very happy and good.”
Rita’s long-awaited new single, You Only Love Me, finally dropped on Friday along with a star-studded music video.

She was joined by A-listers Jodie Turner-Smith, Lindsay Lohan, Sharon Stone and Kristen Stewart in the video, which saw her getting ready for her fictional wedding.
Speaking about the new release, Rita said: With You Only Love Me and my next album, I wanted to capture the vulnerability I experienced as I opened up to love and entered a new phase of life.
“Learning to let go of the past to make way for new experiences is a deeply personal process, and I felt compelled to document it through my music: the journey wasn’t always easy, but I have come out of it stronger and full of more love. which I never thought possible.
You Only Love Me is the first song to be taken from the internationally renowned singer-songwriter’s highly anticipated upcoming album – a deeply personal body of work intrinsically linked to a new chapter in Rita’s life and career.

It’s also Rita’s first release since partnering with BMG, which will see all of her future master recordings and enjoy artistic control in a way she’s never had before.
It comes after Rita finally confirmed that she married groom Taika Waititi on Friday, describing the nuptials as “perfect” and a “special day”.
She was speaking on Heart Radio Breakfast to promote her latest single shortly after posing topless to celebrate the release.
Rita said: ‘Yes [I am married]. I’m officially off the market folks. I chose to keep it more private and keep it more to myself, but with my new video I’m playing with what could have been.”
She continued: ‘When the rumors came up, it’s her, isn’t it? She wanted to play in it. She wanted to do a wedding that didn’t go as planned… that’s not to say that’s really what happened.’
Speaking about the big day, Rita said: ‘It was perfect. It was exactly, exactly how she wanted it.
‘It was nice and perfect. It’s nice to keep some things just for myself, sometimes it was nice and sweet… Sorry, not that interesting. One day I will give a big party.
Speaking about the possible name change, he admitted, “I’ve definitely thought about taking his last name, but I’ve worked really hard for this Ora name.”
She added: ‘I don’t know…I haven’t really decided yet.’
