Rita Ora, 33, reveals the ‘key’ to making her marriage to Hollywood director Taika Waititi, 48, work despite their ‘crazy’ schedules

Rita Ora has revealed that she thinks ‘communication is key’ when it comes to making her marriage to Taika Waiti work.

The pop star, 33, married Hollywood director Taiki, 48, iIn 2022 in an ‘intimate ceremony’ in London after four years of dating.

But despite their “crazy” schedules, she explained that they have a “real bond” that keeps them together.

She said The sun: ‘What works is a genuine connection and a real feeling of friendship. Communication is key.

“Our schedules are crazy busy, so it’s just important to talk and that’s what has worked for us.”

The Thor director has found time to appear in Rita’s new music video Ask & You Shall Receiver, in which she strips naked in a laundromat, but she insisted his brief cameo as an employee was unplanned.

She explained: ‘He was just hanging out with me and I said, ‘Come on, let’s get you to work, you might as well do a cameo.’ It was really cute, unplanned.”

Rita put on a very leggy show in leather hot pants and a crop top, which she paired with sky-high platforms and bizarre eye makeup for the video.

The stunner then left little to the imagination as she slipped into a nude bra and thong and even hung out of a washing machine.

Ask & You Shall Receiver is Rita’s latest release following the success of her 2023 top ten album You & I.

Speaking about the latest release, Rita said: ‘The song is full of happy, summery vibes and is about romantically seizing the moment, and diving straight into the deep end with that special someone.’

“It was co-written by the amazing Raye, which feels like a full circle moment because I have so many great memories of the time we were on the road together for the Phoenix tour.”

Rita made the heart beat faster in the video for her new single Ask & You Shall Receiver, which she co-wrote with Raye and premiered on Friday

Rita said she wanted to keep her marriage to Taika a secret because she ‘always gives everything she is a part of to the public’

The couple only announced their marriage to the public when they celebrated their first anniversary.

Rita said ES magazine that her friends were worried they would miss her big day after she and Taika opted to have just eight guests present for their intimate ceremony.

She said: “I have been in the public eye for a while now and I have always given everything I am a part of to the public. It felt nice to have something that was secret for a while.

“A lot of my friends said, ‘Oh my God, we missed it.’” I just told them we’d figure something out. It felt cold, because my life is not cold.’
