Rishi Sunak’s reinforced police escort compared to a scene from NORTH KOREA where officers jog past a motorcade and others ride ahead on push bikes amid road closures for the London Marathon and eco-protests

Police officers were seen jogging alongside what appeared to be the Prime Minister’s motorcade as he returned to Downing Street.
In scenes compared to the security detail provided to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, officers ran ahead of police motorcyclists on foot.
Footage posted online shows them jogging in front of four blacked-out Range Rovers and a passenger car.
This was then followed by a Metropolitan Police vehicle and more officers jogging.
And if the scene wasn’t bizarre enough, police on bicycles were seen at the very front of the unusual convoy.
Bystanders noted that it was Rishi Sunak who was being transported in one of the vehicles as they drove through Whitehall outside Horse Guards Parade.

As if the scene wasn’t bizarre enough, police on bicycles were seen at the front of the unusual convoy
Bystanders noted that it was Rishi Sunak who was being transported in one of the vehicles when the prime minister appeared to be returning to Downing Street.
The video turned out to be from this weekend when the London Marathon caused a number of road closures.
Extinction Rebellion protesters have also recently gathered in the capital, including Parliament Square, as part of a four-day protest.
When the footage was posted to social media, viewers were quick to draw comparisons to the running bodyguards that often accompany Mr Kim’s motorcade.
They jog next to the North Korean leader’s limousine, dressed in suits and are formally known as the adjutants’ headquarters.
They are selected from among Korean People’s Army recruits who fulfill their conscription obligations.
It is said that the bodyguards should be about the same height as Mr. Kim.

In response to Whitehall’s recently shared footage, a Twitter user joked, “This escort looks like something from North Korea, but with less fit and less handsome bodyguards.
Another added, “The difference between North Korea and Rishi Sunak’s regime? About 20 BMI.”
Mr Sunak was pictured meeting with Tory MPs at Checkers, his official country residence in Buckinghamshire, on Sunday.
The Prime Minister – who is believed to have liaised for part of the weekend regarding the evacuation of British diplomats and their families from the Sudan – hosted a business conference near London’s Kings Cross station this morning.
He will meet the new Scottish Prime Minister Humza Yousaf later today in Westminster.
