Riot Rose turns one! Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s youngest son receives sweet tribute from rap star dad

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s youngest son — Riot Rose Mayers — celebrated his first birthday on Thursday.

The 35-year-old father of rapper Riot Rose paid tribute to his little one on his special day via Instagram.

He added a slideshow of his favorite photos and videos of the little boy, including several pictures with his big brother RZA, two.

A$AP Rocky — real name Rakim Athelaston Mayers — shares both boys with billionaire Rihanna, 36.

The proud father wrote: ‘HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO MY SECOND BORN SON RIOT ROSE MAYERS [red-heart emoji]’

In the first photo in the Babushka rapper’s slideshow, he sits on a couch with his two sons on his lap.

He then shared a short clip of baby Riot wearing headphones and a clean diaper after Rihanna changed him.

In another video, A$AP Rocky was seen smiling at his happy boy and then giving him a kiss on his chubby cheek.

Fans noticed a large painting of A$AP and Rihanna in the background of the clip, along with a framed black-and-white photo of Rihanna kissing him on the cheek on a shelf.

He added a bunch of adorable snaps of the laughing toddler, as well as a clip of Riot relaxing on a private jet with his famous parents.

And last but not least, Riot looked incredibly cute in a video where he lay on the floor of his own and his brother’s messy playroom, dressed in a blue onesie.

The playroom was filled with every conceivable child’s toy, plus a TV, a large hamburger chair, an ice cream cone-shaped trash can, and other colorful decorations.

Nearly 1 million of A$AP Rocky’s followers liked the sweet birthday post, including Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey, who is currently pregnant with their first child.

Rihanna didn’t post a tribute to Riot on Thursday, even though she uses Instagram most often to promote her multibillion-dollar company.

To celebrate RZA’s second birthday in May, A$AP Rocky gave fans another glimpse into the family dynamic by uploading back-to-back photos of the couple and their sons.

“HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY TO MY FIRST BORN BOY, RZA,” he wrote, along with a red heart emoji.

The photos captured the beautiful family of four cuddling together in bed.

After nearly a decade of friendship, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky started dating in 2020.

Two years later, in January 2022, the Disturbia hitmaker announced that she was pregnant with their first child.

Although she and A$AP Rocky weren’t actively working on starting a family before she got pregnant, she said Fashion in April 2022 that they had “certainly no plans to stop it.”

“I always thought it would be marriage first, then a baby, but who the f*** says it has to be that way. I’m definitely not going to let that get in the way of my motherhood,” she said.

Four months later, in May 2022, Rihanna gave birth to son RZA. The baby boy is named after Wu-Tang Clan leader Robert ‘RZA’ Fitzgerald Diggs.

In February 2023, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky and baby RZA graced the cover of British Vogue like a family.

She talked about her time as a first-time mother – calling it “legendary” – and explained how her child changed her world.

“It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, it’s the craziest thing ever,” she remarked.

She was also very enthusiastic about her partner A$AP Rocky, who she called her “best friend.”

“We’re best friends with a baby,” she said of her relationship dynamic with the rapper. “We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always been that way in our relationship.

“Everything changes when you have a baby, but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything other than bring us closer together.”

Shortly after, Rihanna confirmed during her Super Bowl halftime performance that she was pregnant for the second time.

She was known for holding her stomach during the show, wearing an unzipped red jumpsuit and a tight bodysuit.

Six months later, in August 2023, Rihanna gave birth to Riot Rose.
