Connecticut police have arrested two men after a homeowner was threatened with a gun by one of them, who showed up on the doorstep dressed as a delivery boy.
Xavier Otero, 37, was caught Friday morning on a Ring camera attempting to rob an East Haven homeowner.
Ortero is seen approaching the house on Maple Street, wearing an orange safety vest, holding a package in one hand.
He knocks on the door and when the homeowner opens, Ortero pulls a gun out of his pocket.

Ortero pulls a gun, but the homeowner fights back

The homeowner fights back and Ortero quickly runs off and jumps into the passenger seat of a waiting silver and black Dodge Ram.
“The incident was captured on the homeowner’s Ring camera system and images of the suspect and video of the incident were immediately circulated through various media and social media outlets,” the East Haven Police Department said.
“Tips started coming in soon after.”
Ortero was arrested at a relative’s home 43 miles away in Hartford.
Officers then learned of plans to pull off a second robbery in Manchester, 10 miles east of Hartford.
They found the Dodge Ram and arrested its owner, Jean Carrasquillo-Torres, 26.
They found cable ties “and weapons-related items” in his house.

East Haven police revealed Ortero’s face and he was quickly arrested at a relative’s home
They also found 1.1 kg of fentanyl and drug making equipment.
Ortero was charged with, among other things, home burglary, criminal possession of a firearm and attempted unlawful restraint.
Carrasquillo-Torres was charged with conspiracy to commit a home invasion, plus drug and weapons charges.
The pair were held by East Haven police on $250,000.00 bond and are expected to appear in court on April 26.
