Riley Gaines rips into AOC for ‘insanity’ of ‘virtue-signaling’ as followers spot change on congresswoman’s X account

Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines attacked Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after followers noticed she removed her pronouns from her X account.

The woke congresswoman previously noted that she used “she/her” pronouns on her profile, but that reference has since disappeared.

She also apparently changed her title in her description from “US Representative” to “US Congresswoman.”

After the change, Gaines accused AOC of “virtue signaling.”

“They will act like they never embraced (or even celebrated) the madness,” Gaines wrote on the social media site Thursday.

“Don’t forget who the docile, virtue-signaling sheep were.”

Gaines later responded to a video from two days ago in which the Squad member apologized to followers for not having pronouns in her Instagram bio, claiming they “fell off” and that she didn’t know.

“We are winning and it is glorious,” Gaines wrote.

Riley Gaines, an outspoken critic of transgender athletes competing in women’s sports, blasted Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after followers noticed she had removed her pronouns from her X account

She accused the New York congressman of ‘virtue signaling’

On Thursday afternoon, she took one last swipe at the congresswoman, writing, “How do we know what to call AOC now that her pronouns are gone from her bio?!?!?!”

AOC has long been an advocate of transgender rights, including so-called gender-affirming care for children, and of transgender girls participating in women’s sports.

After the Biden-Harris administration passed a sweeping overhaul of Title IX in April to provide more protections for students’ gender identity in schools and colleges, Ocasio-Cortez argued that didn’t go far enough and said more should have been done done to protect trans athletes who want to compete in women’s sports.

“Absolutely no reason for the Biden administrator to do this. It is indefensible and shameful,” she wrote in response to a report that said the change would allow schools to ban transgender athletes from women’s and girls’ sports.

“The administrator can still reverse this, and they should. It’s a shame,” she said.

The month before, Ocasio-Cortez was part of a Democratic coalition that advocated for a transgender law.

Their resolution specifically called for federal legislation to ensure that biological males “can participate in sports on teams and in programs that best reflect their gender identity.” [and] use school facilities that best match their gender identity.

The New York lawmaker also co-sponsored the Equality Act, which was proposed in 2019 and has undergone revisions that would “force public schools to allow biologically male athletes who identify as transgender on girls’ sports teams.” ‘

The New York lawmaker removed “she/her” from her bio, and others noticed she also changed her nickname from the genderless “representative” to “congresswoman”

More recently, Ocasio-Cortez lashed out at Green Party vice presidential candidate Butch Ware for saying he didn’t think trans athletes should compete in women’s sports, calling the Green Party ticket “predatory.”

That also prompted Gaines to speak out against the congressman.

“AOC says it’s predatory behavior to not want men to participate in women’s sports,” she wrote earlier this month.

‘For AOC, recognizing biological reality is ‘predatory’. You know what’s actually predatory? Sexualizing children and normalizing pedophilia.’

Gaines wrote about the change in AOC’s profile in multiple X-posts on Thursday

Many have blamed Democrats’ support for transgender inclusion for Vice President Kamala Harris’ election loss to President-elect Donald Trump.

An ad featuring Vice President Kamala Harris supporting taxpayer-funded gender reassignment operations for illegal immigrant detainees was played repeatedly by Team Trump.

A growing number of Democrats have now changed their stance, with Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton saying his party has “spent far too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face .’

“I have two little girls, I don’t want them to be run over on a playing field by a male or former male athlete, but as a Democrat I should be afraid to say that,” he told the newspaper. New York Times.

New York Rep. Tom Suozzi also denounced the party’s attitude toward the transgender lobby.

“The Democrats must stop pandering to the far left. “I don’t want to discriminate against anyone, but I don’t think biological boys should play in girls’ sports.”

He added that “the Democrats aren’t saying that, and they should,” but that Suozzi’s record includes pro-trans legislation.
