Rihanna sends positive message to Patrick Mahomes after Brandon Marshall joke
Rihanna sent Patrick Mahomes some words of affirmation on Thursday, after the quarterback received a recent joke from former NFL star Brandon Marshall.
The 34-year-old Umbrella hitmaker, who is set to perform at the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, caught up with Marshall, 38, after he recently left Mahomes, 27, embarrassed when he tricked him into believing that he was her favorite quarterback.
I’m so sorry you went through that [Patrick]. I still think you’re great. [Brandon’s] an enemy! the singer said in a new clip shared by Marshall on her Instagram.
The video began with Marshall explaining the hilarious joke to Rihanna, who chuckled as she listened.
‘Patrick Mahomes, I pranked you yesterday. And I said that Rihanna said that you are the greatest quarterback of all time. She blushed. He smiled. And then at the end, I said, bro, I’m lying.

A hater: ‘I’m so sorry you went through that [Patrick]. I still think you’re great. [Brandon’s] an enemy! the singer, 34, said in a new clip posted by Marshall on Thursday.
The video then reverted to the original clip, where Marshall told Mahomes during a press conference, “Rihanna came out and said you’re the greatest quarterback of all time.”
‘Hearing that, how does that make you feel?’
“It makes you feel so good,” the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback replied proudly, adding, “Whatever Rihanna says is like gospel, so I’m glad she went with me for that honor.”
‘She did not do it. She didn’t, she was playing you,’ Marshall replied.
The clip then cuts to Marshall talking to Rihanna, asking her, ‘Can you say something nice to her?’
“That’s so bad,” the Barbados-born beauty commented. “He’s bad, he’s good,” she said pointing to Marshall, before stating that he thinks Mahomes is great.
‘See? There are still nice people in the world,’ Marshall said.
“He hates though,” Rihanna added, as the jock laughed.
What happened: In the clip, Marshall told Rihanna about the joke in which he told Mahomes at a press conference, “Rihanna came out and said you’re the greatest quarterback of all time.”
Funny: “Everything Rihanna says is like gospel, so I’m glad she went with me for that honor,” Mahomes replied proudly, before Marshall enlightened him: “She didn’t, she was messing with you.”

He captioned the clip writing: ‘What @badgalriri said!! @patrickmahomes you can smile now.’
In the original clip, Mahomes looked defeated after being told the truth, when he said, “Man, you got me here smiling” as the media laughed at Marshall’s joke.
The Chiefs and Mahomes will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII this Sunday.

Rihanna’s performance at the Super Bowl marks the first time she will perform live since 2018.
His last performance was at the 2018 Grammys with DJ Khalid when they performed his song Wild Thoughts.
The monumental show will also be her first performance since giving birth to her son in May 2022, whom she shares with partner A$AP Rocky.
