Rihanna, Jay-Z and Kim Kardashian are the stars of Forbes’ list of billionaires

Rihanna, Jay Z and Kim Kardashian are among the world’s billionaires – but Kayne West dropped out after Adidas ended their partnership.

Umbrella hitmaker Rihanna has amassed a huge net worth after venturing into lingerie and beauty with her brand Fenty.

The 35-year-old singer helped her French business partner Bernard Arnault, the chairman of French luxury goods giant LVMH, overthrow Elon Musk to become the richest person in the world after his net worth grew by more than $50 billion to $211 billion.

In the Forbes list Published on Tuesday, Rihanna placed at number 2002 with $1.4 billion – down from $1.7 billion last year.

Titanic director Steven Spielberg, 76, meanwhile placed at 694 with $4 billion following the release of the Avatar sequel last year.

Kim, 42, is ranked 2,259th, but her net worth has dropped from $1.9 billion last year to $1.2 billion.

She has seen huge success with her Skims shapewear clothing line, which is worth an estimated $3.2 billion.

Kim’s ex-husband Kanye did not make the list after Adidas cut ties with him over his anti-Semitic comments he made on social media.

In 2022, the rapper was ranked No. 1,513 on Forbes’ rich list and had a multi-year deal with the sports company for his Yeezy brand.

But the father-of-four’s net worth has fallen to less than $1 billion following the brand’s termination, after several other lucrative deals fell through.

Kylie Jenner, 25, is another off the list. She was previously named the “youngest self-made millionaire” by Forbes in 2020, thanks to her beauty range.

She was taken off the list in 2021 and has not yet managed to get back on it.

Other stars on the list include Jay-Z and Oprah Winfrey.

Jay-Z’s net worth has risen from $1.4 billion to $2.5 billion and is number 1217 on the list.

In total, there are 2,640 billionaires in Forbes’ 2023 ranking from 77 countries.

Elon Musk, 51, is now just the second richest billionaire in the world, under Bernard Arnault, the chairman of French luxury goods giant LVMH – which owns brands like Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Tiffany & Co.

STARS WHO MADE FORBES’ BILLIONAIRE LIST FOR 2023

  • Steven Spielberg: $4 billion
  • Oprah Winfrey: $2.5 billion
  • Jay Z: $2.5 billion
  • Kim Kardashian: $1.9 billion
  • Rihanna: $1.4 billion

The two had traded on the outlet’s daily Real-Time Billionaires list in recent months, CNN reports, but Arnault was able to replace Musk on the annual list after his net worth grew by more than $50 billion to $211 billion.

At the same time, Musk’s net worth fell to just $180 billion — $39 billion less than last year, according to Forbescalculations.

Despite Arnault’s success, Forbes reports that it was a tough year for many of the world’s billionaires, as the total number of billionaires on the list fell from 2,668 to 2,640 for the second year in a row.

But among those who are still billionaires, Forbes reports, none lost as much money as Bezos, who is $57 billion poorer than a year ago thanks to a 38 percent drop in Amazon stock.

Bezos is now just third on the list, with an estimated net worth of $114 billion.

“It’s been another unusually bad year for the world’s richest people,” Chase Peterson-Withorn, Forbes’ senior editor of wealth, said in a statement.

“Nearly half of the list is poorer than 12 months ago, only a lucky few or billions – or even tens of billions of dollars richer.”
