Right wing influencers including Andrew Tate and Babylon Bee CEO are offering to bail out Elon Musk’s X as advertisers like Apple and IBM continue to flee the platform after he agreed with anti-Semitic post

Apple and IBM are among the companies that halted advertising on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter last week after Musk agreed with a post claiming that “Jewish communities have stoked dialectical hatred against whites.”

In the following days, right-wing online personalities including Andrew Tate, Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon and YouTuber Tim Pool pledged their support for the platform.

But the influencers — who have collectively pledged $1.6 million — would still be millions of dollars short of making up for lost revenue. Apple alone spent more than $100 million per year on advertising on the platform.

Dillon promised that his conservative satire website would spend $250,000 to advertise on X in support of “free speech.” Pool said his website would also free up $250,000 for advertising on

Musk, who has 163 million followers, responded to the post with: “You told the actual truth”

He wrote of X: “They attack Musk because they hate freedom, and they hate freedom because it threatens their power to control the narrative. It really is that simple. While others are pulling back on ad spending to punish Musk for the crime of allowing free people to speak, the Bee is committed to spending more.”

Meanwhile, Tate, who is facing sex trafficking charges in Romania, has pledged the largest amount, claiming he would give 1 million a month to Musk without even running ads.

He said, ‘I’m going to advertise for X on X, I’m literally going to promote your own platform on this platform. 1,000,000 USD per month. You don’t need other advertisers. Just let me know where to pay @elonmusk.”

Musk responded to Tate’s offer, writing, “You are a good man.”

According to Romanian authorities, Tate has about $10 million in assets, so it is unclear how he would pay Musk $1 million per month.

On Friday, Axios reported that Apple would pause its advertising on the platform after 164 rabbis and activists called on Apple, Google, Amazon and Disney to stop advertising.

IBM, the European Commission and Lions Gate Entertainment also suspended advertising on the platform in response to Musk’s post.

The companies’ decision came both after Musk’s anti-Semitic post and a report from liberal advocacy group Media Matters that said ads from Apple, Oracle, NBCUniversal’s Bravo network and Comcast were placed alongside anti-Semitic material on X.

IBM said it stopped advertising on

The company said in a statement that it has “zero tolerance for hate speech and discrimination and we have immediately suspended all advertising on X while we investigate this completely unacceptable situation.”

The European Union’s executive branch said separately Friday that it is halting its advertising on X and other social media platforms, partly due to a wave of hate speech.

The White House released a statement on what it called Musk’s “abhorrent” promotion of anti-Semitism.

Following the backlash, Musk backtracked on his previous support of the anti-Semitic post, clarifying that he does not believe hatred of whites extends “to all Jewish communities.”

Musk, who has been strongly criticized by the Anti-Defamation League and the Israeli Foreign Ministry for his past comments, subsequently attacked the ADL, accusing them of racism and saying it is “wrongly attacking the majority of the West, despite the majority of the West being the Jewish people and Israel.’

Media Matters released a report claiming it found ads from major brands, including Xfinity and Bravo from IBM, Apple, Oracle and Comcast, alongside content “praising Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party.”

“This is because they cannot, based on their own principles, criticize the minority groups that pose their main threat.” Musk added.

Musk doubled down on his stance against the ADL hours later, writing, “I am deeply offended by the messaging of ADL and all other groups that push de facto anti-white racism or anti-Asian racism or racism of any kind.” I’m done with it. Stop now.’

Meanwhile, X CEO Linda Yaccarino said that “X’s position has always been very clear that discrimination by everyone must STOP across the board.”

“I think this is something we can and should all agree on,” she posted Thursday.

The accounts from which Media Matters found anti-Semitic material will no longer generate revenue and the specific posts will be labeled “sensitive media,” according to a statement from X. Still, Musk labeled Media Matters “an evil organization.”
