A 19-year-old man was arrested in western Mexico after he was seen holding his sister's head in broad daylight.
The suspect, identified as Sebastián, allegedly killed 26-year-old Julieta on Saturday in the municipality of Quiroga, the Michoacán prosecutor's office said.
Bystanders saw Sebastián walking with Julieta's head near a government-run clinic and called the police.
Michoacán State Police officers found the teen just steps from the clinic, arrested him without incident and seized a rifle he was carrying.

The Michoacán Public Prosecutor's Office is investigating 19-year-old Sebastián for allegedly killing his 29-year-old sister, Julieta. Sebastián was arrested on Saturday in the municipality of Quiroga after residents spotted him walking with his Julieta's head, which was found next to her body at a gas station.
Authorities found Julieta's naked corpse lying on the ground at a gas station about 800 feet from the clinic.
The head was several meters away from the body.
Sebastián is currently being held by the Michoacán Public Prosecutor's Office while he is investigated for the alleged crime.
As of Monday, authorities had not said why Sebastian killed his sister or whether other people were involved.

The gruesome finding was reminiscent of the discovery made by officers in the municipality of San Mateo Atenco, Mexico, when they arrested Lev Norman with Lucero Yazmin's head in a backpack in October 2022.
The suspect was walking along an avenue with his body covered in blood when residents called the police.
The man was under the influence of drugs and was arrested and taken to the police station.
He confessed to the crime and provided the location of Yazmin's body.
