The new film from Don’t Breathe filmmaker Fede – in theaters from August 16 – is set between the first two films in the franchise: 1979’s Alien and 1986’s Aliens.
Alien: Romulus stars Isabela as Kay, Aileen as Navarro, Archie as Tyler, and Spike as Bjorn. It also stars Cailee Spaeny as Rain Carradine and David Jonsson as Andy, but both were absent from the premiere.
Instant Family star Isabela turned heads at the premiere as she wore a gorgeous, ruffled black wrap dress and headscarf.
The 23-year-old star’s dress was finished with striking, pointed hip pads, hugging her figure and ending with a train.
Isabela’s brunette locks were styled in glamorous curls and brushed to one side. She paired the look with a brown lipstick.
Isabela was accompanied by 26-year-old English actor Archie, who starred in the Netflix series Shadow and Bone and the film Morbius.
Archie looked dapper for the premiere, wearing an on-trend navy satin suit, paired with high-waisted trousers and a casual cardigan.
He completed the look with a pair of patent leather shoes and wore a collection of silver chains.

Also in attendance was another English actor, Spike, 24, star of ITV’s Tell Me Everything.
The Brit opted for a chic brown linen suit with large shoulder pads for the outing, as well as a pair of heeled patent boots and a cream satin top.
The cast was completed by Aileen, who makes her feature film debut in Alien: Romulus.
The Chinese-American actress and producer looked stunning in a black dress with a sweetheart neckline and scarf motif, which had a cutout at the waist and then flowed into a full skirt.
Aileen completed her look with a pair of black bow sandals and a pair of pearl earrings.
The trailer for Alien: Romulus opens with a spaceship flying towards a space station, with occasional glimpses of the seemingly abandoned space station.
The opening scenes are strongly reminiscent of the opening moments of Ridley Scott’s original Alien.

As the camera pans through the space station, we faintly hear people talking… as the conversations become more intense.
Then the camera zooms in on some kind of capsule covered in blood. We hear a woman screaming.
We hear a male voice say, âRun,â as we see the iconic Facehugger creatures from the original chasing after a character.
There are also several shots of people walking or running, but their faces are only seen briefly.
Finally, we get a better look at Andy, Kay, and Rain, and another shot of a Facehugger finding a new victim.
The final shot shows Rain up close, intently surveying her surroundings with a massive gun. As she looks up, the iconic Xenomorph spreads its jaws open.
In a new interview with Variety, director Fede provided more insight into the highly anticipated film, including exactly when the film is set in the 57 years between Alien and Aliens.
Alien: Romulus hits theaters on August 16, putting it in direct competition with Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2.

â(The film) takes place 20 years after the first part and I don’t think it disrupts the canon,â Fede admitted.
âIt’s something that I personally enjoy, making sure that everything ties into the bigger Alien franchise story and is part of it – not just in terms of the story, but in terms of the way it’s made,â he added.
The director said he had spoken to original Alien director Ridley, who is serving as a producer on the new film, and had “long conversations” with Aliens director James Cameron about the film.
He added, âAfter the film was done, I showed it to them,â and also revealed that he hired Aliens’ VFX supervisor to create the miniatures for the film.
