Ridiculous reason Kamala Harris hasn’t done any interviews is revealed by close adviser

Kamala Harris’ top adviser claims the presidential candidate is “too busy” to give media interviews despite warnings her silence is damaging her campaign.

Keisha Lance Bottoms, a senior adviser to the vice president, was recently asked by CNN about the vice president’s “lack of regular interviews and questions from the press,” especially compared to his Republican rival Donald Trump.

Lance Bottoms, the former mayor of Atlanta, explained that Harris “has been doing interviews,” adding, “she’s a very busy person. She’s both vice president and candidate.”

Harris appears to be following Joe Biden’s lead by letting Donald Trump speak, hoping his often controversial outbursts will turn off undecided voters.

But even left-wing media outlets are warning that Harris’ unwillingness to be questioned about her policies and plans is damaging her standing with those same voters.

Kamala Harris’ advisers said she is too “busy” to speak to the press as she enters the final stretch of the 2024 presidential election.

Keisha Lance Bottoms, senior adviser to the vice president, was recently questioned by CNN about the vice president's failure to regularly conduct interviews or answer questions from the press.

Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, have done 15 interviews together since last month, while Trump and his running mate, J.D. Vance, have done 55 interviews together, Fox News reports.

Harris has not held an official press conference since becoming the Democratic nominee, while her GOP opponent has held several in recent weeks.

Another Harris campaign spokesman, Ian Sams, defended his candidate: “[Harris] goes to the places where people get their news and answers questions everywhere – often difficult ones – about her plans and agenda.’

Several news organizations have criticized Harris and Walz for avoiding the media, with onlookers claiming she isolated herself more in the early months of her campaign than President Biden did in the final months of his.

Some Democrats have openly called for a greater spotlight on the candidates. Many, including liberal media, have warned the presidential candidate that her lack of clarity on policy positions is hurting her chances against her GOP challenger.

Axios reported: ‘The Harris-Walz Media Strategy: Hide from the Press’

Harris’s lack of media appearances has only irritated her opponent, who criticized her “media strategy” in an article on Fox News on Wednesday.

“The interesting thing is she doesn’t do interviews. You wouldn’t see her on the show, I can tell you that right now. She doesn’t like to do interviews,” Trump said.

A New York Times/Siena Poll Research shows that 31 percent of respondents said they would like to know more about Harris, while only 12 percent said the same about Trump.

Harris’ campaign has pledged to appear more frequently in local and national media in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Trump has been giving extensive interviews to a wide range of media outlets on a regular basis.

He is a welcome guest on Fox News, but also finds himself facing hostile questions from other media during press conferences.
