Ricky Nixon takes swipe at Seb Costello and Caroline Wilson in rogue 60th birthday speech
One-time AFL super agent Ricky Nixon dug two of his most bitter enemies at his 60th birthday party.
Ricky Nixon celebrated his birthday Saturday night with a big party at the Pier Hotel in Port Melbourne, along with his fiancé Melissa Huynh, several scantily clad women and his closest friends.
The 60-year-old’s career has been rocked by scandals from a history of run-ins with journalists, including the moment he elbowed A Current Affair reporter Seb Costello and the leak of a photo of him in his underwear taken by a 17-year-old.
He also has a problem with veteran AFL journalist Caroline Wilson, who has berated him several times over some of Nixon’s behavior and comments.

She rather dismissed him for suggesting that his downward spiral had been fueled by the tragic death of a close friend.
During his speech thanking his guests for coming, the former super agent took aim at his sworn enemies, Costello and Wilson.
“True friends will support you through thick and thin and this room is my true friends,” he said.
“There are two apologies I must make public. Unfortunately, Caroline Wilson and Seb Costello couldn’t make it tonight.
“But who cares, toot toot,” he said, imitating them with an elbow.
The elbow gesture referenced Nixon’s confrontation with Channel 9 journalist Costello last year when the reporter confronted him about his latest controversial business venture.
Nixon lashed out as the reporter chased him down the street and shoved him right in the face.
Costello had tried to question Nixon about a controversial business push to offer IV infusions for $350 for those who want “a completely revitalized life and feeling,” which followed the launch of his “ambulance” to provide mobile health services. grant during the Covid pandemic.

After the meeting, Costello told 3AW that he had reported the matter to the police.
“There is video of this on our A Current Affair cameras that we will provide to the police,” he said.
“I’ll be careful how I characterize it, but during the conversation with Mr. Nixon, his elbow made contact with my jaw … I think it’s fair to say I didn’t headbutt anyone’s elbow.”
Nixon’s 60th birthday was marred by controversy as he went to war with ex-AFL star Warwick Capper over who could throw the best 60th birthday party.
During his speech thanking his guests for coming, the former super agent took aim at Channel 9 news reporter Seb Costello (pictured), who he elbowed in the face as he chased the former agent to question him about his latest business company.
He also took a swipe at veteran AFL reporter Caroline Wilson, who previously slapped him for suggesting his downward spiral was sparked by the tragic death of a close friend.
After footy wild man Capper told Nixon he didn’t want a joint 60th birthday with him, the former AFL sports agent decided to be petty.
Capper planned an extravagant birthday party, celebrated only by him, on July 15 at the Pier Hotel in Port Melbourne.
So Nixon decided to steal his spotlight by holding his own party at the same location the week before, July 8.
Before the announcement, it was believed that Nixon would attend Capper’s birthday bonanza, but he is now no longer welcome.
Speaking to The Herald Sun, Capper said, “He said it’s all about you and of course I said it is, no one knows you.
“I said you can have 10 people, which is perfect. He’s had so much plastic surgery that tears are running down his back.’
Capper also told News Corp that he will throw $10,000 on the bar as it will probably be the last party he throws before he dies.

“The theme is just being sexual like me. I only look 39, I’ve had my eyes done and a little bit of Botox, I’m a very attractive man,” Capper said.
“The party is still going on. I’ll have all my friends and it’ll be full of attractive people and great music with me on drums.’
Nixon had become the most powerful player agent in the AFL from the 1990s to the 2000s, representing the game’s top talent before being brought down in spectacular fashion.
Kimberley Ametoglou – formerly known as Kim Duthie – leaked nude photos of St Kilda players, as well as a photo of Nixon in his underwear in a hotel room with her in 2011, when she was just 17.
The hotel room incident marked the beginning of a massive downfall for Nixon, who previously admitted he became heavily dependent on alcohol when his business collapsed.
The former St Kilda and Hawthorn player also has a long history of run-ins with reporters.
In 2013, Nixon was leaving a Port Melbourne cafe when he poured hot coffee over Nine News reporter Dougal Beatty.
On another occasion, he threw coffee at a court photographer after a foul-mouthed tirade.
