The comedian was subsequently attacked by Twitter users, as they claimed that calling yourself middle-aged at 62 is a bit of an exaggeration.
Ricky shared the news on Monday evening that his box office record-breaking tour Armageddon will be released on Netflix on Christmas Day.
He posted the news on Twitter, writing, “Happy Birthday, Jesus!” to which a fan asked, “Is it appropriate to watch with my grandma and grandpa on Christmas Day?”
In response to the questions, Ricky joked, “Depends. Do they enjoy watching a middle-aged man swear, joke about the Holocaust and pretend to kill a pedophile?’

His tweet subsequently sparked a huge debate, as fans mocked the star for labeling himself as middle-aged.
One wrote: ‘Calling yourself middle-aged at 62 is a bit of an exaggeration,’ while another added: ‘You consider yourself middle-aged? That’s funny.’
A third said: ‘Sir, you are retired,’ while others simply sent a selection of laughing emojis.
A fourth added: “Middle age is brave.”
Meanwhile, other fans seemed shocked to discover the comedian’s real age, while one marveled: “I thought this guy was 45, 62 is crazy.”
Another said: ‘could pass for 45 tbh’ and the third sounded: ‘Mentally he’s 62.’

Another fan defended the star and decided to settle the debate with a dictionary definition, as they posted a screenshot of the Google definition of “middle-aged,” which states that it refers to a person between 45 and 65 years old.
