Iconic singer Rick Springfield still looks great more than 40 years after his 1980 song Jessie’s Girl became a radio sensation.
The star now says he works out “every day” and follows a pescatarian diet to maintain his “sex symbol” status at 73.
The self-professed sex-obsessed singer tried to become a vegan, but admitted that he looked like “hell.”
So he decided to add fish back into his diet, and he insists he’s never looked better.
When asked what the secret is to staying ‘sexy’ in his seventies, the musician, who often performs topless, answers in the new edition of People magazine: ‘I exercise every day.’

His routine: When asked what the secret is to staying “sexy” in his 70s, the musician, who often performs topless, told People magazine’s new issue, “I work out every day.”
“I just got a trainer and I train with him. Actually, I watch what I eat and try to stay active.’
On doing away with veganism, the Affair Of The Heart crooner added, “I tried going vegan, and it made me feel great, but I looked like hell.
“A friend of mine came up to me and said, ‘Are you okay?’ I got so skinny. So I had to put fish back in (for protein).’
Rick’s upcoming album Automatic, his first in five years, is all about “sex, God and Death.”
He told USA Today about the song Come Said the Girl, “Obviously that one is all about sex.
“This album is about my three favorite things: God, sex and death. That’s basically what I’ve been writing about for the past 10 years.
“I’m still looking for God, interested in sex and curious about death.”
The former Zoot guitarist – who has been married to the mother of his two children, Barbara Porter, since 1984 – often has fans throw their undergarments at him on stage.

But he would rather have something than the beer cans that were pelted at him in his native Australia.
He previously told E! News: ‘We used to have a huge collection of bras and underwear, but I grew up in Australia and played in the pubs, so I’ve had beer cans, full beer cans thrown at me.
“There were no bouncers or anything in the late ’60s or ’70s. So you had a microphone stand or a guitar to protect you!”
Rick was born Richard Lewis Springthorpe in Australia. He is known professionally as Rick Springfield, who works as a musician and actor.

His biggest hit came in 1980 with the infectious pop song Jessie’s Girl.
His acting resume is also impressive.
Rick was on the daytime soap opera General Hospital for many years.
More recently he has been on Californication, The Goldbergs and True Detective.
In 2015, he gave a stunning performance as Greg, Meryl Streep’s rocker boyfriend, in Ricki And The Flash.
