The announcement is expected to be made tomorrow, SEN reported.

Hardwick still has 18 months left on his contract.

The Tigers have won just three games out of ten possible so far this season, making it unlikely they will make the final.

“Damien Hardwick will inform his players tomorrow that he has left Richmond,” said SEN’s Tom Morris.

“The reason behind this decision is largely burnout.”

Hardwick is Richmond’s longest-serving coach, having been at the helm for over 13 years.

His successful tenure saw the Tigers claim three premierships in four years.

Before he started coaching, he played for Essendon and Port Adelaide.
