In fact, the Brazilian striker went out of his way to show his support, even holding up a sign that translated as: ‘Lucas, can I have your shirt?’

After the game, Moura posted a photo of himself and Richarlison holding the signs with the caption: “Small gestures that make a difference.” Thank you very much for the support brother. God bless you always!’

The 30-year-old winger has not played for Spurs since their 4-3 win over Leeds in November and is set to leave the club.

After facing a sideline period with a hamstring injury, Moura returned to competitive action in style finding the back of the net in a 2-1 win for the Under 21 team.

Earlier this month, Sportsmail reported that Tottenham will not take up the option to extend Moura’s contract at the end of the season.

Moura has made just 11 appearances for Antonio Conte’s side this season, playing just 266 minutes of football.

His number 1 supporter, Richarlison, had also been sidelined after a hamstring injury suffered at the World Cup in Brazil.

However, the Spurs striker returned to action from the bench in the north London derby, and could lead Conte’s line against Preston in the FA Cup on Saturday, with Harry Kane a big doubt due to illness.
