One Foot In The Grave actor Richard Wilson will return to television for Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend.

The 86-year-old screen star will play the ITV Boss in a new murder mystery miniseries called Murder At Bigwig Manor.

Richard, best known for his role as Victor Meldrew on the long-running sitcom, was seen in the teaser clip being pushed around in a wheelchair while getting into character.

He was wearing a red satin tuxedo jacket and horn-rimmed glasses when he was shown into the room, along with other guests.

Speaking ahead of the next episode, hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed what Saturday’s installment has in store.

One Foot In The Grave actor Richard Wilson, 86, will return to television for Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend.

Ant confirmed: ‘Yeah, you’re right, that was Richard Wilson. Definitely my favorite Scottish actor.’

The actor became a household name in the early 1990s when he was cast as the malcontent Meldrew, famous for his catchphrase, “I don’t think so!”

Wilson’s character was killed off in 2000, he then played the wizard Gaius in the hit BBC fantasy drama Merlin, but a heart attack and related fall in 2016 have limited his roles.

Elsewhere, Saturday Night Takeaway fans admitted they ‘were crying with laughter’ on Saturday after Alison Hammond nearly gave up on Ant and Dec’s prank and botched it.

During her Undercover skit, the host freaked out after seeing a series of scary items in her hotel room and became convinced it was haunted.

The 48-year-old This Morning star nearly blew up the entire water show, and she got too terrified to stay there any longer.

But her producer, who joined her at the creepy mansion and was in on the whole thing, was able to get her to stay in on the prank.

Despite his fears, he went back to his room and Ant and Dec appeared in the mirror, giving him another big scare.
