Billionaire and former Purdue Pharma chairman Richard Sackler is set to sell a third luxury property after the company has been hit by a series of lawsuits over the opioid crisis.

Sackler, 77, has put his Beverly Hills mansion on the market for just under $20 million. The Angelo View Drive home is a three-story, four-bedroom, six-bathroom home with incredible views of the rolling hills.

It is the third property it has put on the market as Purdue Pharma continues to be blamed for starting the US opioid crisis. The family, estimated to be worth up to $15 billion, has denied any wrongdoing.

Sackler also sold his Cicero Lane home in Austin, Texas, in 2018 for more than $3 million and a Princeton Place mansion in Boca Raton, Florida, in 2022 for $4.88 million.

The sale of the Florida home came shortly after Purdue Pharma reached a $6 billion settlement with several US states over the opioid crisis after more than 1 million Americans died from overdoses since 1999. $5.5 million of the settlement went to fund treatment centers for addicts, according to the New York Post.

At the time of the settlement, the powerful family said they were “sincerely sorry” that their pain reliever OxyContin “unexpectedly became part of an opioid crisis.”

Richard and his wife currently live in another Boca Raton home, which they purchased for $1.71 million in June 2021.

Sackler’s Beverly Hills mansion is currently on the market for $19,995,000

It initially went on the market for $25.5 million in April, before being withdrawn. It was later put back on the market for $20 million in May 2022.
