Since then, the couple have welcomed two children together: four-year-old Alexander and a two-year-old boy whose name has not been made public.

Both children accompanied Gere and Silva on their last trip to Mexico, where Silva revealed that the entire family had fallen ill.

She wrote on Instagram Thursday: ‘Thank you all for the birthday wishes… after almost 3 weeks of everyone in our family being sick today I finally feel so much better! Thank you for all the love ❤️ I give it all back to you!’
