Richard E. Grant was redfaced after a highly X-rated gaffe on Tuesday’s This Morning.
The actor, 65, was talking to TV chef Clodagh McKenna, 47, when she got into a very awkward faux pas while talking about Richard.
Clodagh revealed that she had been hoping to make some cheesy eggs, but wanted to check with her boyfriend to see if he liked them.
She said, “I messaged Richard today and I was like, ‘I’m making cheesy eggs, I know you don’t like cheese, but do you want it?’
“He was like, ‘No way, it tastes like hobo!”‘

A shocked Richard chimed in, “It doesn’t taste like bum, it smells like bum!”
Presenters Holly Willoughby, 42, and Phillip Schofield, 61, were left hysterical as Clodagh hid behind her hands.
Between laughs, Richard added, “This is a family show!”
In a more serious moment, Richard revealed King Charles’ act of kindness to his late wife Joan before she died.
Joan lost her battle with lung cancer on September 2, 2021 at the age of 71, seven months after her tragic diagnosis.
She and Richard were married for over 35 years and Richard was heartbroken by her death.
Richard said the king had been one of Joan’s last visitors.
He said, “A few weeks before she died, the king asked to see Joan,” who was a voice coach and actress.
He continued, “He came and sat with her in our garden. They talked about everything.’

In 2021, a month after Joan, nicknamed “The Colonel,” passed away, Richard told the Daily Mail what happened during the visit.
He said: “Prince Charles came to the Colonel last month, sat down next to her, took her hand and said, ‘It was an absolute honor to have known you, Joan.’
To which she immediately joked, “I’m STILL here.” That broke the ice and made all three of us giggle.’
He added, “Amazingly, unlike me, she was never star struck and possessed the innate gift of addressing anyone of any age or status as her equal.”
Richard talked about his book about the show, a collection of daily diary entries.
He said: “When I knew my wife had been diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2021, I wanted to detail the time we still had together.
“When someone is diagnosed terminally, you have no control over it. All I had was writing things down at the end of each day.”
The book is called A Pocketful of Happiness, a tribute to Joan who advised Richard to find a pocketful of happiness every day.
He said, ‘It’s been really helpful. I have gardened, dug, replant stuff.
‘There have been small attentions from people. You would take it for granted, but when you are after grief, the kindness of people lifts you up.”
He concluded: “There are days when you feel like you can’t move and then people tweet and say go for a walk.
“Sometimes when it hits you like a tsunami, there’s nothing you can do.”
