Ric Flair has put himself in some pretty precarious situations in the ring, but the wrestling legend thought he was in danger when he smoked marijuana on one occasion.
Flair, who has a marijuana line under the boxer’s “Tyson 2.0” brand, said “I actually thought I was dying” during the ordeal — comparing it to the medically induced coma he was placed in in 2017.
“Suddenly… it finally got to three in the morning and I sat up a little blurry and said, ‘I’m back,'” the 74-year-old wrestler said on Theo Von’s “This Past Weekend.” podcast.
“I called someone on the phone and said, ‘Is this really you?’ That’s how I screwed up.’

The wrestler said people didn’t talk to him when he talked to them, and he remembers saying to himself, “I can think.” And I don’t think I could think when I was in a coma.’
Flair was put into a coma after complications from intestinal surgery, including kidney failure.
Speaking to Von, the wrestling legend admitted that he was way beyond his usual tolerance when trying to keep up with Iron Mike.
“I’m about a three or four hitman man,” he said.
“I just said, ‘I’m going to smoke as much as you do now, brother.’
The pair has been around since August 2022, following Flair’s last WWE appearance in July.
Tyson 2.0 sells edibles, vapes and pre-rolls, and according to an interview with New cannabis venturesis the company ‘profitable and in a strong position’.
