RHONY’s Dorinda Medley promises legacy cast will be ‘back in full force’ for Ultimate Girls Trip

Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley enjoyed a mini-reunion with Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps Wednesday night as the trio prepped to film the highly anticipated Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy.

The 58-year-old and her co-stars are flying to St. Barts later this month for the spin-off Peacock show, but the group first enjoyed a night out in their beloved city as they toasted Medley’s Bluestone Manor Bourbon brand at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Revealing why she believes news of the old spin-off has created such excitement among Bravo fans, Medley told DailyMail.com: ‘People have been longing to see the girls again.

“I never say one franchise is better than another because I want everyone to thrive – there’s room for everyone! But nothing beats the oldies.’

She playfully teased that viewers can expect the unexpected, adding, “We’ll get back together in eight days and we’ll have a ball.” You never know what will happen when you get our group together.’

Reflecting on the show’s decision to reunite the OGs, Medley said, “It’s a great time for all the girls to be back together. We’ve all had a little break and we’ve allowed people to miss us.

“Now we can come back full steam ahead and entertain with all our craziness, quirkiness, everything audiences love.”

She continued, “My mom keeps asking me, ‘Are you prepared for this?’ And I’m like, “There’s no way to ever prepare”. What you think will happen never happens. And what shouldn’t happen, probably will!’

Medley even shared hopes that spin-off series Ultimate Girls Trip could become an annual event, a sentiment echoed by Ramona Singer.

“I’m a little nervous, but I’m excited. I’m just gonna have fun. Hopefully we can do this every year!” Singer told DailyMail.com as she shared her anticipation for the new series.

Medley, Lesseps, 57, Singer, 66, Sonja Morgan, 59, Kristen Taekman, 46, and Kelly Bensimon, 55, will begin filming in the Caribbean later this month.

A premiere date has yet to be revealed, and the series may not land on Peacock until 2024, as season four of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip has yet to debut.

Fans will have to wait and see which catchphrase Medley chooses as she joked that her original idea was “stolen” by Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge.

The reality TV icon had wanted to highlight the fact that she was “put on hiatus” by Bravo producers when she eventually returned to the franchise, but Judge beat her to it with the catchphrase, “I might have been on hiatus, but now am I ready to play.’

At the start of a playful speech at her brand’s event, Medley said, “When Dorinda Medley speaks, the world listens. That’s my new slogan since the old one was stolen.’

She continued, “A few years ago a company decided to put me on hiatus, that world was crying but I didn’t.

“I made this bourbon inspired by my home, the Bluestone Manor. I love this brand because it’s not just a housewife brand, it’s about the Bluestone Manor lifestyle.”

Medley was joined by close friends and other Bravo stars, including Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa and Joe Gorga, at the intimate get-together at the NYY Steak restaurant, where guests sipped the premium bourbon in small batches.

Inspired by Medley’s famed Berkshire estate, the brand is now available in New York and other select markets. but also online.

In May, Bravo confirmed production of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy at the NBCUniversal Upfront presentation.

The original plan was to bring back MVPs from The Big Apple Franchise for a full season of traditional Housewives drama entitled RHONY: Legacy, but the strategy shifted to corral the fan favorites for a short period of time.

Bravo is currently gearing up to launch their RHONY overhaul as the network recasts the series with a new slate of different housewives.
