Dolores added that her ex-husband Frank Catania, who she has remained close friends with since the couple divorced more than 20 years ago, also didn’t believe how seriously she would take the diet.
“Everyone was laughing at me, laughing at me,” the star added.
Dolores described the diet they followed and said she was only allowed to consume 750 calories a day.
And while she was determined to incorporate exercise into her weight-loss plan, her busy schedule got in the way.
She said, ‘I was really really motivated, I really wanted to do it. Unfortunately I was so busy that I couldn’t get to work. If I had exercised while on this diet, I probably would have lost another six or seven pounds.”

The reality TV star said that while the diet plan was effective for her, it isn’t for everyone.
“This is not for someone who is not committed. I didn’t want to spend my summer with the weight I gained over the winter,” she said.
Dolores added that she “needed” the diet program to get her “summer body.”
“Weight doesn’t come off easily as you get older, it just doesn’t. When we were younger, we could lose it quickly.
“I knew this was the diet for me to get my summer kick-start and lose the weight I needed in about a month,” she said.
