RHOC star Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Jennifer Spinner get engaged on their one-year anniversary

Braunwyn Windham-Burke called Jennifer Spinner on her first wedding anniversary by proposing to her during a romantic picnic in New York City.

On Saturday, the 45-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star popped the question to her other half, 39, after walking the High Line just like they did on their first date.

While talking about her elaborate proposal, which included a “Marry Me” sign placed on a picnic blanket, next to a photo of them during their relationship.

“I’ve never been happier,” the TV personality shared People. “Jen is my person.”

She continued, “My DNA was made for her. I’m thrilled that I can now say, “This is my fiancé — just as I know, one day I’ll be able to say, “This is my wife.

The Bravo alum gushed, “She once said to me, ‘How much do you love me?’ And I looked at her and said, ‘It’s not about how much I love you. It’s how small I love you. I love you on a molecular level.’ And that’s it really.’

The mother of Bella, 22, Rowan, 20, Jacob, 17, twins Caden and Curren, nine, Koa, seven, and Hazel, four, with soon-to-be ex-husband Sean Burke even wore the same outfit to the proposal she wore to their first date.

She repeated everything they did on that first ill-fated outing, saying, “We’d been talking via private message and phone for a few weeks by that point, but we hadn’t met in person yet.”

And I both went into the day thinking we’d just be friends. She will even tell you that she came more for a story! She was like, ‘Wouldn’t this be a funny story to tell my friends one day? That time I hung out with a housewife?” Windham-Burke recalled.

She revealed that on that first date they got really fast and talked about anything and everything.

“There wasn’t a topic we didn’t discuss that first day,” Windham-Burke said. “It was, ‘What’s important to you? What do you want from life? What is your relationship with your family? Do you like to have children? Are you spiritual?”

“We’ve all talked about it. As a result, we discovered that we had all these things in common. And we quickly started realizing, ‘Oh, this is something else.'”

They kissed for two hours and “By the end of the day I was like, ‘There’s something about this woman, I know I’m going to be with her forever,'” Windham-Burke said.

And what a whirlwind year it has been. They exchanged pledge rings in January, had a commitment ceremony on Valentine’s Day in Las Vegas, and moved to Tennessee this spring.

The newly engaged couple watches a fall wedding at an old Nashville home. uh. “It’s going to be something intimate and very country,” Windham-Burke told People. “Think cowboy boots.”

She now chose to propose to Spinner because she finally has an end date for her marriage to Burke, with whom she was together for 23 years.

Windham-Burke came out as a lesbian in December 2020, despite being married at the time, telling SMOOTH, I love women. I’m gay, I’m a member of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s taken me 42 years to say that, but I’m so proud of where I am today. I’m so happy where I am. It’s so nice to be able to feel comfortable in my own skin after such a long time.

“I’m just now starting to feel like I’m becoming the woman I’m supposed to be,” she added. “I’ve always known it, but it’s personally taken me 42 years to be able to say that.”

She explained that she started to accept her sexuality after a scene in RHOC where she kissed her costar Tamra Judge.

“I had a scene with Tamra that everyone was talking about,” she said. “As we were getting ready for the reunion, I spoke to a producer I trust a lot, his name was James, and he said, ‘How do you feel about this? Was it a drunken mistake or is this part of who you are?’ And I said, “This is who I am.”‘

“When I went to the reunion last year, I sort of baby-stepped into, ‘This is who I am. I like women.’ I was testing the waters with my friends, my cast, my family,” she continued.

Windham-Burke filed for divorce in October 2022 after waking up to discover that her husband had allegedly drained their bank accounts.

“It’s the reason I filed for divorce. If you’re still legally married, there’s not much to protect you,” she said Page six in March.

“So Sean had emptied our joint bank accounts without me knowing,” she claimed, adding, “Literally, one day I woke up and I couldn’t access my cards or money.” And that’s why I filed for divorce.’

Sean told Page Six that “any money that was moved was used to pay the family’s bills.”
