Photos offer first glimpse of RHOBH star Garcelle Beauvais’s dream beach house almost three years after housewife bought and razed $765,000 shabby Oxnard beach cottage

Forget Beverly Hills, Garcelle Beauvais is preparing to become a Real Housewife of Oxnard!

The 57-year-old Coming To America actress will soon see her dream home become a reality, almost three years after she plunked down $765,000 for a dilapidated 1950s vintage beach cottage in the coastal city.

The reality star bought the shabby house in August 2021 before promptly selling it into oblivion. The lot sat vacant for two years, and many wrongly speculated that Beauvais had run out of money for the passion project.

Last year, Garcelle herself admitted on RHOBH that she was embroiled in “red tape” with the building permits needed from Ventura County to complete the property.

But now Ny Breaking.com can reveal that the two-storey house with its huge upper deck overlooking the ocean is almost complete, with painters putting the finishing touches to both the exterior and the striking white spiral staircase.

'To me, buying a beach house is a pretty big deal. I'm proud of myself,” Beauvais said on RHOBH.

Beauvais, who joined the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2020, already owns a $1.2 million dollar home in Los Angeles County

It looks a little different from the artistic rendering she showed in season 11 of the show and is quite narrow to fit into the rectangular plot of 2,450 square meters.

The house is not directly on the ocean, but is about a stone’s throw from Silver Strand Beach.

In April 2023, Garcelle borrowed $1.5 million from BMO Bank to finance construction of the project she called a dream come true.

‘My vision is to build at least 2,700 square meters. I want to go upstairs. I want to have different decks. I want it to be modern.

Oxnard is located miles west along the coast of Los Angeles. But unlike other coastal cities in the area, such as Santa Barbara and Malibu, it is not a celebrity hangout.

But a house near the beach in those more glamorous locations would easily be triple the price Beauvais paid.

β€œI didn’t grow up knowing anyone who owned more than one house or even owned a house,” the Haitian-born beauty told RHOBH.

β€œSo for me, buying a beach house is a pretty big deal. I am proud of myself.’

One clue that the beach house was well on its way to being built was when Garcelle admired co-star Sutton Stracke’s new $68,000 sapphire and diamond earrings in the series finale.

β€œThese (earrings) probably cost more than my kitchen in my new beach house!” she said.

Garcelle has been married twice: to producer Daniel Saunders – father of her son Oliver, 33 – and to talent agent Michael Nilon – father of their twin sons Jax and Jaid, 16 – both marriages ended in divorce.

She is also a grandmother to three-year-old Oliver Sanders Jr.
