RFK Jr says Woody Harrelson ‘lives off the grid’ and unaware of controversy over cap appearing to support longshot Democratic nominee
Those who would have expected actor Woody Harrelson to respond to the backlash after he defeated long-running Democratic presidential nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. seemed to support, would have to wait, according to Kennedy himself.
Harrelson posed for a photo with the Democratic nominee’s actress wife Cheryl Hines in a selfie earlier this week.
Reaction on social media has been strong, but Kennedy, who is campaigning in Iowa on Saturday, doubts the actor heard anything of it.
“I texted him. You know, he’s very hard to get hold of. He has been a friend for many, many years. He’s very close to me and Cheryl,” Kennedy said.
He added that texting the former Cheers star is mostly a gamble anyway given Harrelson’s lifestyle.

“One thing is he doesn’t like cell phones. It is conceivable that he is not aware of all the controversies,” Kennedy said Fox news.
‘He doesn’t watch TV. He doesn’t have his cell phone and he’s a bit off the grid.’
The 66-year-old donned a blue ‘Kennedy 2024’ cap with his Wilson co-star Hines in a snap, posted on Thursday.
“Great to see you Woody,” Hines posted without elaborating. But commentators were quick to suggest it was an endorsement.

Polls show him a distant second, and recent claims about COVID have sparked controversy.
Nevertheless, some Democratic supporters worry his campaign could hurt President Joe Biden’s re-election, especially if the president is forced to stay away from New Hampshire after the Democratic National Committee gave South Carolina an early primary in a diversity push.

Robert F Kennedy Jr. averages about 14 percent in national polls, where Joe Biden is about 63 percent
That enraged New Hampshire officials who jealously guard their first-in-the-nation status, and could provide Kennedy with a venue to try to wound Biden.
Biden has a big lead over Kennedy in the Democratic primary. But he still has low national approval ratings hovering around 40 percent as he faces a Green Party challenge from Dr. Cornel West and a potential ‘No Labels’ third party.
That, along with a primary challenge, could undermine his strength, even as he faces rival Donald Trump, who faces multiple charges.
Harrelson has named himself’an anarchist,” and has railed against the country’s foreign wars, once comparing President Barack Obama to Richard Nixon.
He played former John McCain adviser Steve Schmidt in the film adaptation of the political book ‘Game Change’. That led to Politico asking whether he disliked Democrats as much as Republicans.

“It’s all synchronized swimming to me,” said the former Natural Born Killers and Kingpin Co-star.
“They all kneel and kiss the ring. Who is going to take on the oil industry or the medical industry?” he said in the 2013 interview.
“People compare Obama to Lyndon Johnson, but I think there’s a better comparison between Obama and Nixon. Because Nixon took office and said he was going to pull out of Vietnam, and then he escalated the war,” he said.
‘I don’t believe in politics. I am an anarchist, you could say. I think people can take care of themselves just fine,” he said.
