RFK Jr.’s wife Cheryl Hines REFUSES to comment on Olivia Nuzzi scandal while at Milan Fashion Week

Cheryl Hines is reportedly dodging questions about her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s explosive sexting scandal.

Last week, the 70-year-old former presidential candidate’s alleged affair with 31-year-old New York Magazine political reporter Olivia Nuzzi came to light.

The two met in 2023 when Nuzzi — who has since been suspended in the aftermath — visited the $7 million California home Kennedy shares with Hines to write a profile of him.

Kennedy denied having an inappropriate “personal relationship” with Nuzzi, insisting he met her only “once in his life.”

Hines has since been spotted without her wedding ring and RFK Jr. was noticeably absent from her 59th birthday party in Milan over the weekend.

And now Puck reports that Hines refused to discuss the scandal during a fashion show in Milan on Saturday.

When asked about the allegations during the Bally fashion show, Hines “politely declined to comment.”

Despite the drama in her personal life, Puck reporter Lauren Sherman described Hines as “completely fresh and clean” during the fashion show.

“Going out there and looking fabulous while your world falls apart is a common and often effective tactic,” Sherman added.

Hines’ MFW sighting comes just days after she celebrated her 59th birthday on Saturday night in Milan with her daughter Catherine Rose Young, 20, and stepdaughter Kyra LeMoyne Kennedy, 29.

RFK Jr. was noticeably absent and Hines was also spotted that same weekend without her large diamond wedding ring.

She and Kennedy married in August 2014, after dating for three years.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm actress shared precious moments from her birthday dinner via Instagram.

Wearing a white lace turtleneck and black pants, she captioned the photo of herself and her daughters, “Me and my girls.” RFK was nowhere to be seen.

He also failed to attend his niece Grace Kennedy Allen’s wedding last weekend due to the scandal surrounding his affair.

Meanwhile, New York Magazine suspended Nuzzi after details of the affair emerged.

Nuzzi admitted in a statement to DailyMail.com that “the nature of the communications between me and a former reporter became personal,” but she maintained that the relationship was never physical.

A few days later, a 2015 tweet came back to her mind: Astute social media users found a post of hers asking, “Why does Hollywood think female reporters sleep with their sources?” along with a link to an article in NYMag.

Nuzzi’s ties with the political heavyweight began when she visited his $7 million California mansion last year to write an article.

RFK Jr. has maintained that he met the political journalist only once.

“Mr. Kennedy met Olivia Nuzzi only once in his life for an interview she requested, which resulted in a critical article,” his spokesman told CNN.

A source added that the nature of the relationship was “emotional and digital in nature, not physical.”

Insiders told the New York Post that the couple engaged in “sexting,” despite the fact that RFK Jr. was married and Nuzzi was engaged at the time.

“Earlier this year, communications between me and a former reporter became personal,” Nuzzi said.

“I did not report directly on the subject at the time, nor did I use the sources as sources,” she said.

“The relationship was never physical, but should have been made public to avoid the appearance of conflict. I regret not doing so immediately and apologize to those I may have disappointed, especially my colleagues in New York.”

New York magazine acknowledged in a statement about Nuzzi’s breakup that there was an inappropriate relationship, calling it “a violation of the magazine’s standards regarding conflicts of interest and disclosure.”

“Had the magazine been aware of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign,” the statement said. “An internal review of her published work found no inaccuracies or evidence of bias.

“She is currently on leave from the magazine and the magazine is conducting a more thorough third-party investigation. We regret this breach of our readers’ trust.”

RFK Jr. made his first appearance since the scandal broke when he appeared at an event on Capitol Hill on Monday, where he posed for photos with top Republican lawmakers.

Ahead of Monday’s event, GOP Rep. Thomas Massie shared a photo with Kennedy, noting that they had dinner together Sunday night.

Fellow Republicans Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. Chip Roy also shared snapshots with Kennedy, while Sen. Ron Johnson had him appear on a panel discussion titled, “American Health and Nutrition: A Second Opinion.”

The Washington tour comes as Kennedy is reportedly considering suing Nuzzi over the pornographic content she sent him.

Jessica Read Kraus, author of the popular House Inhabit Substack, wrote on Saturday that Kennedy is exploring his legal options after Nuzzi allegedly “bombarded him with increasingly pornographic photos and videos.”
