New Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Dobbs has given NFL fans an insight into what life is like when you’re suddenly traded from one franchise to another.

The 28-year-old was moved to the desert by the Cleveland Browns on Thursday in exchange for a fifth-rounder back. The Browns also send Arizona a seventh-rounder.

Speaking TikTokDobbs revealed that players traditionally only have a handful of hours to pack a bag of must-have items before boarding the plane to their new home.

However, in Dobbs’ case, extra time was available for his move from Ohio to Arizona.

“When I woke up yesterday, I had no idea that today we would be moving from Cleveland, Ohio all the way to Phoenix, Arizona,” he told his followers.

Dobbs was drafted by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2017 Draft from Tennessee

“When you’re being traded, you usually have about a few hours to literally gather a bag of all your essentials, pack up your apartment, and head straight to the airport to head to your new city.

“For me, in this case, I’m actually given 24 hours to figure out what I’m going to do with my apartment here in Cleveland.”

Dobbs has a lot of experience switching from team to team throughout his career. In one capacity or another, Dobbs has been a part of eight franchises for seven seasons in the league, including the Cardinals.

“What on earth could you put in a bag where you don’t know how long you’ll be in another city and you don’t know where you’ll return home to get the rest of your stuff? As far as I’m concerned, I’m somewhat skilled at this.

“You need to buy your underwear, some essentials, something to entertain yourself with, like your iPad or your computer, and really just buy everything else you need once you get to your new city. So it will certainly be a whirlwind.’

He was selected to the fourth round by Pittsburgh in 2017 after a standout collegiate career with Tennessee.
