Tom Brady has faced some criticism in his rookie season as an NFL color commentator for Fox Sports. Luckily, he was able to turn to media darling and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs for help.
“He gently asked Travis how he can be quick on his feet and keep the commentary exciting for the fans,” a source familiar with the situation said. Life and style. “It’s about showmanship and Tom knows that.”
Like Brady, Kelce is a former Saturday Night Live host with extensive experience in media. But while the retired quarterback is mainly seen in commercials, Kelce has much more diverse experience, including his successful podcast New Heights.
“You have to hand it to Tom, he knows when he needs help and he knows exactly where to ask,” the insider told Life & Style. “The goal in Tom’s first year at Fox is to not embarrass himself and not ruin the handful of very big blockbuster games he will be broadcasting this year. No one pretends there isn’t a steep learning curve when it comes to getting good on air, live in front of millions of fans.”
Brady will call Kelce and the 5-0 Chiefs on Sunday when they host the 3-3 San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of last February’s Super Bowl.

Brady’s Week 1 debut received mixed reviews, but fans say he has steadily improved throughout the season.
“Tom Brady is clearly pretty nervous in his NFL debut,” one X user wrote at the time. “It’s kind of funny to remind yourself that the best quarterback to ever do this is still human at the end of the day.”

Brady is doing much better this month.
