Hidden in the northern mountains of Bali lies a secret training camp for men, which aims to ‘supercharge’ guests and turn them into ‘superheroes’.

a YouTube trailer for the institution asks, ‘Why do we as men, in times of hyper-abundance, feel more anxious, more depressed and more lost than ever before? We must create the conditions in which strong men can rise again. A center to create superheroes.’

The camp is called The Bali Time Room and bills itself as “the real-life version” of Dragon Ball Z’s hyperbolic time chamber, the secret chamber in the anime TV series where characters could accelerate their growth.

Likewise, the camp in Bali allows men to disconnect from the real world and ‘grow like never before’. It’s “where extraordinary men are made,” the trailer adds.

One participant, talk about a short film about the camp, says: ‘(We are ruled by) children who have never had the initiation into manhood. They never learned what it means to be a strong man. We are in a period of good times and weak men. We must create the conditions for strong men to rise again, without waiting for a global war to spark this movement.”

The secluded retreat, ‘accessible only by a small footpath’, features four minimalist cabins that can accommodate four people. Each person has a private room in the cabin with a bed, work space and “incredible views.” There is also a common room.

All meals are included and guests will ‘feast like a king on steak, fish, tropical fruit and more’.

There is a private gym where men can reach ‘peak physical performance’. It is fully equipped with squat racks, barbells, barbells, weighted straps and more.

One participant says that he has built up ‘seven kilos of muscle mass’ and now ‘feels like an animal’.
