- The Rock returned Saturday night after several months away from company
- He is expected to battle Reigns, his real-life cousin, in the future
- They teamed up before Reigns returned, with Reigns then teaming up with Cody Rhodes
The Rock’s plans for WrestleMania have reportedly been revealed following his shock return to WWE this weekend.
The veteran is one of the most iconic WWE stars of all time and returned to the company on Saturday night at Bad Blood after the main event, which included Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
Reigns and Rhodes teamed up in the main event to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in the latest chapter in the Bloodline story, which also sees the two compete at WrestleMania.
Back at ‘Mania, The Rock teamed up with Reigns, his real-life cousin, while Sikoa, who is also Reigns’ cousin, stood alongside the duo but has been feuding with Reigns for several months.
With the immediate future unclear, the possible plans for next year’s WrestleMania have now been revealed, with the report explaining what’s currently in store for Reigns and The Rock.

The match would also involve current WWE Champion Cody Rhodes (right) in a likely title fight
A report during a WrestleVotes Q and A op Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass suggested, “My thought is this means we’re going there for WrestleMania. One, two, three, like in a triple threat match.
“I can tell you this is on the table. I’m not sure if it’s finalized somehow. It’s October. I doubt it’s been finalized yet, but that idea has been floated and I think it makes the most sense for the company to get those three guys in the ring.”
There were originally plans for The Rock and Reigns to battle it out at this year’s ‘Mania, but WWE pivoted and staged Reigns vs. Rhodes after fan backlash.
Reigns and The Rock then competed as a tag team on night one, defeating Rhodes and Seth Rollins before Rhodes defeated Reigns on night two.
The Rock then headed to Hollywood for work in the immediate aftermath of the event, with Reigns also not seen since ‘Mania’ before his return at SummerSlam in August.
The Rock’s appearance at Bad Blood on Saturday was short-lived and he did not interact with Rhodes or Reigns, meaning it is currently unclear whether he will side with the duo or not.

However, he is expected to remain a villainous character and go against his real-life cousin, who has been more of a babyface – ‘good’ – character since his return.
All three men are expected to be on SmackDown on Friday night, with Rhodes the current WWE Champion.
