Arsenal's players wore all-white kits for their FA Cup third round match against Liverpool.

Two of the country's best sides faced off in the final match of the weekend, with only Wigan remaining against Manchester United from the fixture, and that match followed the draw on Monday.

Although Arsenal dominated the match early on, many noticed that the Gunners did not put on their usual red stripe at the Emirates despite being the home side.

Instead, they wore all white, with numbers on the back of the shirts that were difficult to make out during the TV broadcast and names that could not be seen.

The reason for wearing the white kit was the No More Red campaign with Adidas, which was first launched in 2022 in support of the Gunners' work to protect young people from knife crime and youth violence.

There was no red on the strip at all and Liverpool wore their purple third kit in support

This is the third year in a row that the Gunners will wear the all-white kit on a one-off basis, while Arsenal Women will wear the kit for the first time when they play Watford in an FA Cup fourth round match on January 14.

The latest data from the Office of National Statistics shows that 13,503 knife crimes occurred in London between June 2022 and the same month in 2023.

Photos of the kit were released this week, with the likes of Declan Rice and Gabriel seen wearing the shirt during a photo shoot.

The No More Red will not be available for purchase, but a custom community T-shirt will be available for purchase on January 29 for £30.

The money generated from the shirt will then be donated in equal proportion to a number of No More Red's charity partners, including The Arsenal Foundation, Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation and Box Up Crime, among others.

Adidas and Arsenal will invest in more safe spaces to play football as part of the No More Red campaign with the opening of a third renovated community pitch on Mayville Estate, Islington early this year.

The two already in attendance have seen more than 500 people participate in 200 sessions.

Arsenal hoped to return to victory in the match but found it difficult to break a resilient away defense despite the number of chances.

Mikel Arteta's side go into the game on the back of defeats to London rivals West Ham and Fulham, and are now five points behind Klopp's side in the title race.
