  • All but two teams were surveyed because the Jets and Jaguars had “insufficient data.”

While the Kansas City Chiefs lead the way with the most sober fan base, the Tennessee Titans have the drunkest fans.

A team’s success is not directly related to how much that franchise’s fans drink, as the Super Bowl champions with the support who consume the least alcohol are not directly connected.

Data was collected anonymously via the BACtrack app, which uses smartphone-compatible breathalyzers. The information used in the study came from users who consented to their data being shared.

The Titans had an average blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.093%, higher than the legal limit of 0.08%, when someone is considered intoxicated.

Five of the NFL’s fans finished with a medium BAC that would be considered intoxicated. Behind the Titans were the Steelers (0.088%), Colts and Falcons (0.085%), as well as the Saints (0.80%).

According to this survey from the BACtrack app, Chiefs fans were the most level-headed in the NFL

Only 30 league teams had official data, as the Jaguars and Jets had “insufficient data.” Those would have been two interesting numbers, with both teams unable to meet the high expectations this year.

The most down-to-earth fan bases included both teams playing in the AFC Championship Game.

The leaders with the best driving skills after the game are the Chiefs (0.051%), Commanders and Giants (0.058%), Ravens (0.059%) and the Chargers (0.062%).

Despite their wild tailgating, the Buffalo Bills ranked 20th overall at 0.065%. Not mentioned in the data was whether Jason Kelce was included in the data for the AFC Divisional round match against the Chiefs.

Of the eight most level-headed fan bases, only the Ravens and Chiefs made it to the postseason.

Only the Steelers made it to a playoff game among the team’s drunkest fan bases. No. 7 Green Bay was the team with the least level-headed fan base to win a playoff game.

The San Francisco 49ers, who lost the Super Bowl in overtime, finished in the middle at No. 14 overall with an average BAC of 0.070%.
