REVEALED: The Cosmetic Surgeries Behind Demi Moore’s Age-Defying Face at 61, According to Top Plastic Surgeon
At 61, actress Demi Moore still looks as youthful as she did at 30, but a leading plastic surgeon claims it’s not just the result of her naturally “incredible bone structure.”
The Hollywood actress made her name with her role in St Elmo’s Fire in 1985, starred in the blockbuster Ghost in 1990 and Charlie’s Angles in 2003.
Now the A-list star plays a character obsessed with youth in her new sci-fi film, The Substance.
But what cosmetic procedures make her face look younger?
MailOnline explores a number of options here, from subtle facelifts to lifting procedures and even laser therapies.
Demi, pictured in 1993 (left), has long been known for her incredibly youthful appearance and has been in the spotlight since the early 1990s. Demi, pictured here in January 2021 (right), is also rumored to have had sagging skin removed from her knees
According to widespread reports circulating in the early 2000s, the Hollywood actress is said to have undergone a £250,000 operation which included the fitting of breast implants and the straightening of her nose.
However, she denied the reports, saying they were nothing more than speculation. In 2007, she claimed she had “never” had cosmetic surgery.
However, experts disagree on this.
Plastic surgeon Dr Mark Solomos, from Channel 4’s 10 Years Younger, told Hello! magazine he believes she started having her surgeries at a young age and has been able to maintain her youthful appearance with minor interventions.
He praises her “incredible bone structure” and suggests she may have had a lip lift, a rejuvenating procedure that reduces the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip.
This also smooths out the wrinkles between the nose and upper lip that develop as the face ages.
He also said it was possible she had had a face and neck lift or laser treatment – a popular anti-aging treatment that works by destroying the first layer of skin, allowing new, youthful skin cells to grow underneath.

Her youthful appearance may also be due to anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox around her eyes, Dr. Solomos says. Botox relaxes the muscles in the face and helps to smooth out lines and wrinkles.
He suspects she may have also had eyelid surgery, a cosmetic surgical procedure that removes excess skin, fat and muscle from the eyelids to change their shape and remove any drooping.
Dr Solomos suggests the actor has ‘overdone’ her cheeks, saying they look ‘a little too big’ for her proportions, with fillers or fat grafting to achieve the fuller look.
Few actresses understand the need to look “perfect” as well as Demi Moore.
The Substance will be released in theaters on September 20. The film centers on Elisabeth Sparkle, the star of a popular aerobics show who has enjoyed decades of success.
But on her 50th birthday, the icon is hit with a huge blow: her boss fires her.
While she is in distress, a laboratory offers her a substance that promises to transform her into an enhanced version of herself.
In an interview with Interview Magazine for the September issue, she confessed that she was “moved” by the script.
She said, ‘What a unique way to explore this issue of aging, of societal conditioning, and of what I also see as the pressures of the male-idealized woman that we as women go along with.’
