The new voices were announced during Meta’s Connect event, where the tech giant provided updates on its AI experiences.
“Over the past year, we’ve introduced you to AI experiences that help you get things done, learn, create, and connect with the things and people that matter to you,” Meta said.
‘Since then, we have continued to build with safety and responsibility first.’
Meta’s AI chatbot is available in Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook.
Users can also try it with the Ray Ban Meta glasses.

The AI chatbot has been given a range of ‘multimodal features’, which Meta says make it ‘more fun, useful and capable’.
“You can now use your voice to talk to Meta AI on Messenger, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram DM, and it will respond to you out loud,” Meta said.
‘Get answers to your questions, let Meta AI explain something you’re curious about or listen to a joke to lighten the mood.’
As this feature rolls out, users will be able to choose from different voice options for their AI assistant.
This includes the AI voices of Awkwafina, Dame Judi Dench, John Cena, Keegan-Michael Key and Kristen Bell.

The list of votes has delighted many fans, with some taking to X (formerly Twitter) to talk about it.
“Cena is awesome,” one user tweeted, while another wrote, “John Cena’s voice would be amazing.”
Meanwhile, one user said: ‘Judi Dench. Yes, ma’am.’
And someone joked: ‘That’s so cool, I’m low-key excited to hear my favorite celebs’ voices on Meta AI, yay.’
Currently, more than 400 million people use Meta AI every month, while 185 million people use it weekly through Meta products.
And according to Meta, Meta AI is on track to become the most used AI assistant in the world by the end of the year.
