Rumor has it that he will take over from Daniel Craig as the next James Bond.
And now a survey has revealed that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is officially the most handsome man in the world.
Dr. Julian De Silva, a cosmetic facial surgeon based in London, used the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty to discover the 10 most handsome men in the world, according to science.
Taylor-Johnson, 34, tops the list with a near-perfect score of 93.04 percent, while several other heartthrobs are close behind.
So, is your favorite star on the list?
Research has shown that Aaron Taylor-Johnson (left) is officially the most handsome man in the world
To understand which faces are the most attractive, Dr De Silva, head of the Center for Advanced Facial Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery in London, used the Golden Ratio – a mathematical equation devised by the Greeks in an attempt to measure beauty.
The ratio can be applied to almost anything and was used by Leonardo Da Vinci for the perfect human male body in his famous work, The Vitruvian Man.
The premise behind the Golden Ratio is that the closer the proportions of a face or body are to the number 1.618 (Phi), the more beautiful they become.
His analysis showed that Taylor-Johnson tops the list, with an impressive score of 93.04 percent.
Dr. De Silva said: ‘Aaron was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection.
‘His score of 93.04% would easily make him the most handsome James Bond in history if he gets the role as expected.
‘He is well ahead of all James Bond actors – Sean Connery, in second place with 89.2%, with Roger Moore in third place with 88.8% and Daniel Craig in last place – behind George Lazenby – with 84.2%.’
To understand which faces are the most attractive, Dr. De Silva, who runs the Center for Advanced Facial Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery in London, the Golden Ratio – a mathematical equation devised by the Greeks in an attempt to measure beauty.
According to Dr. De Silva, what makes Taylor-Johnson so handsome is the overall shape of his face, which scored 99.2 percent.
However, almost all of his feature films also scored highly.
“The width and length of his nose are also almost perfect, at 98.8%,” Dr. De Silva explained.
‘He also has a beautifully shaped chin that scores well at 95%.
“All his scores were very strong except for his eye relief at 89%, his nose-lip gap (89.6%) and his lips (86%).”
Emily In Paris star Lucien Laviscount, 32, came in second place, with a score of 92.41 percent.
The ratio can be applied to almost anything and was used by Leonardo Da Vinci for the perfect human male body in his famous work, The Vitruvian Man
“(Lucien Laviscount) had the highest score for the length and width of his face, at 99.1%,” Dr De Silva said.
‘He was also the top scorer because of his beautifully shaped lips: 97.4%. It was marked on the gap between his nose and his upper lip.’
Gladiator II star Paul Mescal, 28, was the third most handsome man on the list, with a score of 92.38 percent, followed by Robert Pattinson (92.15 percent) and Jack Lowden (90.33 percent).
Some older gentlemen also made the top 10 list.
Unsurprisingly, George Clooney scored an impressive 89.9 percent, putting him sixth on the list.
The premise behind the Golden Ratio is that the closer the proportions of a face or body are to the number 1.618 (Phi), the more beautiful they become.
“George Clooney is by far the oldest star on the list, but he remains a stunningly attractive man with great classic features,” said Dr De Silva.
‘There is a loss of volume in his face and, inevitably, some sagging around the eyes.
‘To still make the top ten at the age of 63 is remarkable and a testament to his incredible natural looks.’
Meanwhile, the top 10 is completed by Shah Rukh Khan, whose face scored 86.76 percent.
Besides being a bit of fun, Dr. hopes. De Silva says the findings will help unravel the mystery of physical beauty.
Dr. De Silva said, “The king of Bollywood has been one of India’s biggest stars for the past three decades.
‘At 58 years old, he is still striking and is aging beautifully.
‘He scored very highly for his lips and beautiful square chin, but missed out on a higher ranking because of the shape of his nose.’
Besides being a bit of fun, Dr. hopes. De Silva says the findings will help unravel the mystery of physical beauty.
“These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries about what makes someone physically beautiful, and the technology is useful in planning patients’ surgery,” he added.
