A British woman who suffered an epic meltdown at a US airport and ended up in jail after crossing the pond ‘for love’ is award-winning comedian and actress Rachel Jackson, MailOnline can reveal.

The Edinburgh-born star was captured on police bodycam footage swearing and cursing at police as he was escorted from Nashville airport.

The 37-year-old has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including ‘Still Game’ and ‘Outlander’.

She has also written and starred in a miniseries called ‘Bunny Boiler’ on BBC Three and appeared at comedy festivals around the world.

Jackson’s arrest and foul-mouthed rant have gone viral after police bodycam footage was posted to YouTube and viewed more than a million times. It was released by the US police following a request under their open policy on recordings and bodycam footage.

The comic, who was nominated for best new comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards, is said to have moved to the US in 2023.

In March, she’s launching a new comedy show called American Horror Story and in a promo on TikTok, she says the show is “all about the time award-winning Scottish comedian Rachel Jackson moved to Tennessee for love but went crazy instead.”

Before moving to America, Jackson had a successful career as a comedian and writer after graduating from Rose Bruford drama school in Sidcup, Kent.

The confrontation ended with Jackson being booked into jail and she was reportedly charged with disorderly conduct.
