REVEALED: NFL sideline worker Nick Piazza dislocated his knee AND fractured his leg in Saints game when Alvin Kamara crashed into him… before cameras accidentally showed his leg bending unnaturally live on air

Nick Piazza, the NFL sideline worker who broke his leg on live TV during Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, will undergo surgery for a dislocated knee and a broken fibula.

The update on his condition came from Locked on Saints host Ross Jackson, who said Piazza's blood vessels remain intact and he will likely undergo surgery next week.

The sickening incident took place on Sunday in the second quarter of Saints vs. Detroit Lions, where live television cameras inadvertently filmed the ugly scene as it happened.

The Saints' Alvin Kamara took a catch from quarterback Derek Carr and ran to the first down marker but was pushed out of bounds.

But Kamar's momentum caused him to crash into Piazza, who immediately collapsed in pain upon impact.

A camera, of course, followed the play as it unfolded and as it panned to the incident, Piazza's leg could be seen bending unnaturally as he screamed in pain on the ground.

Trainers rushed over to tend to him and Piazza was soon loaded onto a stretcher and taken away for medical treatment.

Viewers were shocked by what they saw and quickly took to social media to discuss the incident.

'The worst injury of the day was to a team member in the Saints-Lions match. Legs shouldn't bend like that,” another commented.
