Before DailyMail.com broke the news today that Kanye — whose name was simply “Ye” in his marriage documents — many had assumed he and the Yeezy architect had married in a ceremony that wasn’t legally binding.
Previous reports claimed that they had a private ceremony in Beverly Hills in January this year without an official marriage license.
However, it turns out that the duo was already – legally – married weeks earlier.
The documents listed their official wedding date as December 20, 2022 – just a month after he finalized his divorce from first wife Kim Kardashian in November 2022.
Rumors have been swirling about the artist and the then-mystery blonde – who is now confirmed to be his wife – and the nature of their relationship since they were first spotted.
According to the document, the couple married under a “confidential marriage license.” Californiameaning it has not been made public.
According to their marriage license, the couple was married by California-based officiant James Mayfield, who chose an undisclosed location in Palo Alto, California, also known as Silicon Valley.
