The President and First Lady arrived Friday at the Lake Tahoe home of 2020 Biden’s rival Tom Steyer for their second vacation this month.
The $18 million property is the vacation home of Biden’s former nomination rival and billionaire climate investor Tom Steyer and his wife Kat.
Biden, 80, and his scandal-stricken son Hunter, 53, came separately to the 3-acre waterfront property.
The six-bedroom Nevada retreat is described on real estate site Redfin as “one of Lake Tahoe’s finest lakefront properties and the pinnacle of waterfront property in the gated community of Glenbrook.”

The estate is owned by billionaire climate investor Tom Steyer and his wife Kat
Steyer, who challenged Biden for the 2020 Democratic nomination, bought the property, built in 1968, in 2007 for $15 million.
The White House confirmed that the Bidens will pay for their time at the property, but declined to elaborate on how much the trip will cost.
“The First Family is renting a private home for their stay in Lake Tahoe,” a statement read.
“The house belongs to Tom Steyer and Kat Taylor. The First Family rents the house for a fair market value.’
The President and First Lady Jill Biden arrived in Nevada aboard Air Force One with first daughter Ashley Biden, granddaughters Maisy and Naomi, the daughters of Hunter, and Naomi’s husband Peter Neal.
Hunter, his wife Melissa Cohen and their 3-year-old son Beau “were flying separately on a commercial flight” and were “already at the residence awaiting the rest of the family,” the White House said.
Steyer is a co-founder of the investment fund Galvanize Climate Solutions and rose to fame after spending about $10 million to fund a publicity campaign advocating the impeachment of then-President Donald Trump shortly after he took office in 2017.
Biden will take a break from the holiday to visit Maui on Monday as it reels from the devastating effects of wildfires that have killed more than 100 people.
