Manchester United’s stars have been praised by fans for the ‘mentality and hunger’ they showed in their response to Harry Maguire’s latest miss against Liverpool on Sunday.
With twenty seconds left, Joshua Zirkzee cut the ball in the area back to the defender, who fired it over the bar on his first attempt.
Had it gone in, United would have been set to win their first game at Anfield since 2016, following goals from Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo earlier in the half.
Manuel Ugarte, Noussari Mazraoui, Diallo, Diogo Dalot, Leny Loro and Martinez were all hanging around the halfway line when Maguire’s chance was spurned.
And footage shows most of them crashed to the turf in disbelief after seeing the ball sail over the woodwork, leaving them in a 2-2 draw.
Meanwhile, Dalot held his arms to the sky and jumped around in frustration.

In the box, Alejandro Garnacho, who was standing slightly behind Maguire, fell to his knees with his hands up before planting his face on the grass.
On the other side of the field, Andre Onana fell on his back and started rolling around.
Manager Ruben Amorim held the back of his head in his hands while assistant Adelio Candido, only 28 years old, crouched and covered his face with his gloves.
United fans were impressed by the passion in their teams’ response.
‘WHAT A VIDEO!’ wrote one account.

One replied: ‘That’s what I like to see!!’
“They’re acting like a team again,” said another.
Fans might have preferred to see almost everyone get the chance rather than Maguire, who, despite his heading ability, is not famous for finishing with his feet.
But Amorim praised Maguire’s effort despite his miss.
“For me, missing chances or playing poorly with the ball is not the big problem,” Amorim told the BBC.
‘For me the big problem is that Harry gave everything on the pitch. That’s the most important thing.’
