REVEALED: Five iPhone keyboard hacks that you won’t believe you lived without

>

There are amazing time-saving shortcuts buried in your iPhone’s interface through the screen’s multi-touch feature.

You may not often think of using two fingers at once to quickly and seamlessly type or select items while using your iPhone keyboard. Many of us have just gotten used to chasing and pecking with our fingers or our thumbs by tapping the keyboard.

But there are better ways to get around some of the consistent problems of typing on an iPhone

Here are five tricks that will boost your productivity and just make your screen time easier.

TikTik user @bditech has presented five incredibly useful iPhone keyboard shortcuts. His first: many users know that they can press the space bar and then move the cursor around the screen, but the really efficient way is to press two fingers on the screen at the same time

Press down with two fingers at once to move the cursor anywhere on the screen

It may seem impossible to get the cursor in the right place, to correct a typo, or to add a word.

Typically, users know they can press the spacebar and then move the cursor around the screen – but the really efficient, life-saving gesture is to move the cursor by pressing two fingers on the screen at the same time.

The best part is that this gesture can be performed anywhere on the screen, giving you full visibility of where you’re trying to move the cursor.

Reduce steps when typing numbers. Press and hold the button that toggles the keyboard as you type your numbers. When you’re done, release the button and the keyboard will automatically jump back to the alphabet

Jump back from numbers to alphabet by holding down the toggle key

Most of us know how annoying it is to change the keyboard to numbers and go back to the QWERTY keyboard alphabet, or to manually change it back to the alphabet, adding an extra step.

The solution is to hold down the button that toggles the keyboard as you type your numbers.

When you’re done, release the button and the keyboard will automatically jump back to the alphabet.

In Safari, hold down the dot key and a menu of the most common top-level domains (TLDs) appears. So whether you visit a .com, an .org, an .edu, a .net or a .us, you will get there faster and happier

Never type .com, .org, or .edu again

This should be a relief. While typing a domain address in Apple’s Safari browser on iOS, hold down the dot key and a menu of the most common top-level domains (TLDs) appears.

So whether you visit a .com, an .org, an .edu, a .net or a .us, you’ll get there faster and happier.

Double-tap a word and iPhone automatically selects it. Tap a word in that paragraph three times and in an instant that entire section is selected

Double and triple tap for easy selection

If you’re trying to select a single word or an entire paragraph, you don’t have to laboriously drag and drop your selection around it letter by letter, word by word.

Instead, if you just need to select one word, double-tap the word and iPhone will automatically select it.

To select an entire paragraph, triple-tap a word in that paragraph and in an instant that entire section is selected.

Hold down the space bar for very specific selections. Then tap the keypad with another finger. Now you can select or deselect your text letter by letter by sliding the spacebar

What if you need to make a more specific or unusual selection? Just a sentence, a half misspelled word or something like that.

There is an easy hack for this too. First, hold down the spacebar. Then tap the keypad with your other finger.

For example, you can now select and deselect your text letter by letter by slowly sliding your finger back and forth on the space bar.

Go ahead and try it for yourself.
