Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher wrote desperate letters to the court pleading with the judge to grant their friend, convicted rapist Danny Masterson, leniency before he is jailed for 30 years.
The couple supported their former That 70s Show castmate by submitting individual submissions to the court, despite him having already been convicted of raping two women.
In their letters obtained by DailyMail.com, both Kunis and Kutcher — who is credited as co-founder and board chairman of a nonprofit organization that claims to help combat child sex exploitation — spoke highly of Masterson, claiming that he “always treated people with decency, equality and generosity’.
Kutcher’s entry appears to inflect his status and includes the sentence: “I hope my testament to his character is taken into account at sentencing.”
In his letter to the judge, Kutcher wrote, “He is an extremely honest and intentional human being.
‘I’ve been in a relationship for over 25 years and I don’t remember him lying to me. He taught me to be direct and to tackle problems in life and relationships head on, solve them and move forward.”

Kunis said she “wholeheartedly” vouched for Masterson’s “exceptional character.”
‘Danny is a person who is always there for you when you need him.
“Not only is he a good friend to me, I have seen him be a good friend to others and the kind of brother others would be happy to have.”
Kunis, who has been married to Kutcher for eight years, said she “wholeheartedly” vouched for Masterson’s “exceptional character” and the “tremendous positive influence” he has on those around him, including her.
Kunis said: “Danny Masterson’s warmth, humor and positive outlook on life have been a driving force in shaping my character and the way I approach life’s challenges.
She claimed Masterson is an “excellent role model” and celebrated his strength in staying away from drugs.
“His dedication to avoiding all substances has not only inspired me, but countless others around us,” Kunis wrote.
“Danny’s steadfastness in promoting a drug-free lifestyle has been a guiding light throughout my journey in the entertainment world and has helped me prioritize my well-being and focus on making responsible choices.”
She continued: “His unwavering commitment to being an exceptional older brother to me has had a transformative impact on my life. He has given me a sense of self-confidence and encouraged me to strive for greatness, but all while maintaining a sense of humility.”
“His dedication to living a drug-free life and the genuine care he gives to others make him an excellent role model and friend.”
His wife, actress Bijou Phillips, 43 – who had been by his side during two criminal trials – looked dejected as she sat among a grim group of Scientology friends and relatives.
Convicted rapist Masterson blew his wife Bijou Phillips a kiss in court as he was sentenced to 30 years behind bars
Yesterday Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison for raping two women – with the perverted star kissing his wife Bijou Phillips as he was escorted to prison.
The 47-year-old Scientologist did not react as Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo issued her ruling: 15 years for each rape, with consecutive sentences.
The words used in celebrity testimonies could not be more contrary to the feelings of his victims.
During the lawsuit, Jane Doe #1 called Masterson a “true coward and heartless monster,” adding that to this day she suffers from an extreme fear of the dark and often wakes up crying.
Kutcher and Kunis worked with Masterson on That 70s Show, but they weren’t the only cast members to lend their voices.
Former That 70s Show star Debra Jo Rupp, who played the hilarious Kitty Forman, also shared her support.
‘Danny was always respectful and kind. On show days when the camera crew came in, Danny was the one who shook hands with each cameraman before we started.
“He knew everyone’s name, where they lived and about their families. I do not have. He was loved. Over the years, Danny has been one of the few who came to support me by seeing my shows in the theater. He sometimes brought his family along. And it was a pleasure. And so appreciated.’
Kurtwood Smith, who played Rupp’s husband Robert Griggs, also submitted a letter.
‘I consider Danny to be a talented, hardworking and giving actor. “I have seen him be respectful and considerate to those he has worked with,” he said.
“He has been a leader and positive force among his colleagues. He seemed loving and caring, not only toward his wife and daughter, but toward his family as a whole.”
Other stars included in the documents include Sneaky Pere star Giovanni Ribisi, William Baldwin, who is married to Chynna Phillips, the sister of Masterson’s wife, and TV producer Shawn Piller.
