REVEALED: Anthony Fauci-run lab in MONTANA experimented with coronavirus strain shipped in from Wuhan a year BEFORE Covid pandemic began

Investigations have revealed that US taxpayer money was used to experiment with coronaviruses from the Chinese laboratory believed to be the source of the Covid pandemic more than a year before the global outbreak.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), led by Dr. Anthony Fauci, infected twelve Egyptian fruit bats with a β€œSARS-like” virus called WIV1 in 2018 at a laboratory in Montana, just 15 minutes away from the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland.

The WIV1 coronavirus was shipped from the laboratory in Wuhan that the FBI believes caused the Covid pandemic and was tested on bats obtained from a roadside zoo in Maryland.

The research – unveiled this week by a campaign group – found the new virus could not cause a ‘robust infection’.

But the research is more evidence of ties between the US government and the Wuhan lab, as well as the funding of dangerous virus research around the world.

The paper – SARS-Like Coronavirus WIV1-CoV Does Not Replicate in Egyptian Fruit Bats – was published in 2018 in the journal Viruses. The study was first brought to attention by DRASTIC, a group of internet activists investigating the origins of Covid-19 and the laboratory leak theory.

The group White Coat Waste Project is now using the Freedom of Information Act to request more details about the experiment.

The White Coat Waste Project is a watchdog that has fought to stop sending American taxpayer money abroad to fund dangerous virus research.

The 2018 experiment was conducted at the NIH’s Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Montana, under the supervision of Fauci, the former director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

The research was a joint venture between the NIH’s Rocky Mountain Laboratories and Ralph Baric, an associate at the University of North Carolina’s Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Scientists have taken 12 Egyptian fruit bats from a zoo in Maryland and vaccinated them with the WIV1 coronavirus, which was first detected in Chinese red horseshoe bats.

They performed daily examinations on the animals and measured things such as body weight and temperature. Scientists also took samples from the bats’ noses and throats.

On days three, seven and 28, four bats were euthanized and their hearts, liver, kidneys, spleen, bladder, reproductive organs, eyes and brains were collected for analysis. Scientists also analyzed white blood cell counts and antibodies.

Researchers determined that the WIV1 coronavirus did not cause “a robust infection” and “observed very limited evidence of virus replication.”

The bats were sent to the Montana facility from a roadside zoo in Maryland, reportedly by the zoo’s curator and director of animal health, who had previously worked in the NIH’s internal animal testing laboratories from 2003 to 2012, according to WCW . .

The Catoctin Wildlife Preserve (CWP), located in Thurmont, Maryland, less than 15 minutes from Camp David, has a history of animal welfare violations and was fined $12,000 in 2012 for poor and dangerous animal housing and inadequate animal care.

Records show that as of April 2023, 523 federally regulated animals were confined to the sanctuary, including 241 bats, 41 of which were Egyptian fruit bats.

A visitor left a review last month: ‘How is this place even legal?

‘I left my heart broken and sad. The enclosures are so small and not well maintained. This place is so unkempt. It’s terrible. It needs to be closed. You can see the pain in the eyes of these animals. Something needs to be done about this place.

‘This is not a domain. It is a place where animals are sent to suffer and be put on display for people. Awful.’

Despite the lack of transmission via bats in 2018, similar dangerous research into viruses that could cause a new pandemic has been conducted around the world for years.

And while there is debate over whether the pandemic started because a virus jumped from animals to humans or because it leaked from a lab in China, the theory of lab leaks is what the FBI and other government agencies now support.

Most recently, DailyMail.com revealed last week that Chinese virus hunters have been tinkering with new pathogens that have a ‘high probability’ of infecting people, despite concerns that similar experiments have led to the Covid outbreak.

DailyMail.com also reported in August that millions of US taxpayer dollars are being sent to shady labs in China to fund cruel and dangerous experiments on animals.

Despite the money flowing around the world, America actually conducts most of the profit-or-functional virus research.

Gain-of-function experiments involve making pathogens more infectious or deadly.

Supporters say the tests will help science get ahead of future outbreaks, but critics say the risks of a leak outweigh the potential benefits.

The fear prompted U.S. officials last month to quietly halt a $125 million taxpayer-funded project hunting for new viruses.

The DEEP VZN program – pronounced deep vision – was launched in October 2021 with the aim of finding and studying new pathogens in wildlife in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Although the research was intended to prevent human outbreaks and pandemics, critics, including Biden administration officials, worried it would do the opposite and expressed fear about the potentially “catastrophic risks” of the virus hunt.

In a statement from WCW President and Founder Anthony Bellotti said: β€œOur investigation has uncovered the true horror story of how a shady roadside zoo, whose curator was an NIH animal experimenter, sent bats to a deadly virus laboratory. the government, under the supervision of the NIH. Dr. Fauci was infected with a coronavirus obtained directly from the Wuhan laboratory that experts believe caused COVID.”
