Retiree, 83, lashes out at ex-lover Egyptian toyboy as she insists her new cat is ‘smarter than any man she knows’

An 83-year-old pensioner has hit back at her Egyptian toyboy ex-husband for claiming her new cat is “smarter than any man she knows.”

Iris Jones, from Weston-super-Mare, first met her husband Mohamed Ibriham, 37, via Facebook in February 2019.

The pensioner left the audience of This Morning stunned in early 2020 when she described their first night of passion after traveling to Egypt to meet Mohamed.

The couple married in November 2020 and they spent nearly two years apart before Mohamed finally got a visa that allowed him to move into Iris’ bungalow in Somerset.

Last month, Iris revealed that the pair had broken up after arguing about “anything and everything.”

After Mohamed moved out, Iris adopted a new cat called Mr Tibbs and posted an adorable video of the Bengal trying to steal some food on Facebook last night.

The 80-second clip shows the cheeky kitten – standing on her counter – picking up several bags of cat food.

As he continues to pick them up with his teeth, the elated retiree gushes about being such a “smart kid.”

The clip ends with Mr. Tibbs – who Iris told MailOnline was the “new love of her life” trying to break into one of the sachets and lick the top of it.

Glad she caught it on camera, Iris captioned the video, “My boy, Mr. Tibbs is smarter than any man I know!”

In the comments, Iris suggested she intended the caption as a snub to her now ex-lover.

“That’s hilarious,” one Facebook user replied. “Smart Mr. Tibbs.”

Iris replied: ‘Much smarter than you know who!!’

Earlier this week, Mohamed broke his social media silence when he appeared to discuss his recent breakup on Facebook.

The newly single bachelor shared a photo of himself on his Facebook Stories along with the lyrics to Gloria Gaynor’s hit I Will Survive.

The image shows Mohamed beaming at the camera while wearing a black jacket and a gray turtleneck.

Meanwhile, the lyrics of the famous love song were written over the photo.

It said, “At first I was scared, I was terrified. I kept thinking that I could never live without you by my side.

“But then I spent so many nights thinking about how you wronged me. And I became strong. And I’ve learned how to treat each other.’

After announcing their split, Iris – who has two adult sons – told MailOnline: ‘We used to have a great sex life but then it kind of fizzled out because I was always so tired of taking care of him. I would do all his cooking, cleaning and tidying up.

“I’m better off without him and I wish I had listened to my family and friends, but what’s done is done now. I regret meeting him and I now know that my best husband was my first husband Gwyn.”

Iris opened up about their split, adding: “I kicked (Mohamed) out last month and I haven’t seen or heard from him since. He’s taken all his stuff and I have no idea where he is, but he won’t be welcome here, I can tell you that.

“My boyfriend said it was meant to be, she’s very spiritual, I think it was his image that made me fall in love with him, if he was bald and had a big belly I doubt I would have fallen in love with him.”

“I certainly don’t feel any love for him right now, what I do feel is stupid and I should have known better.”

Iris then compared herself to the popular BBC crime series The Sixth Commandment, in which a younger man highlights his male and female victims, saying, “I feel a bit like the woman in the second episode of that series.

“Mohamed and I are like the younger man, older woman on that show. It brought everything back. Mohamed wasn’t as smart as that guy, but he’s very similar.’

Iris raised her eyebrows when they appeared on This Morning with Holly and Phil – sending them into hysterics – when she revealed that during their first night of passion, a ‘whole tube of KY jelly’ left her ‘saddle sore’.

Iris said, “We just didn’t get along for a while and broke up. I don’t know where he lives, where he works, who does his laundry. I just haven’t seen him, but some friends have seen him around Weston.

‘He took it very badly, he didn’t see it coming, but that’s the way it is. Go on now, won’t you.’

After their wedding in Egypt, Mohamed was allowed to stay in the UK, but now that the couple have split, the Home Office is expected to review the circumstances of his eligibility.

At the time, friends and family warned Iris about the potential pitfalls of the relationship, but she ignored them – though now she wishes she had listened to their advice.

She told MailOnline: “I don’t know what’s going to happen next, he’s going to want to give his side of the story because when a marriage breaks up there are always two sides to the story, I admit that I’m not the easiest person to deal with.

“I’m very stubborn and I want things done my way and it was really hard getting a guy into my house after 27 years of celibacy and having to take care of him, it was hard but it just worked out not.

“I kept thinking and hoping it would get better, but it didn’t. I don’t think his family in Egypt knows it’s all over. Anyway, I’m better off on my own now, it’s nice and quiet. Everyone has said ‘I told you so’ and they were right.

“To be honest I don’t regret the good times but I was blinded by love I wish we weren’t married now I wish we had just been partners but like I say it’s too late and it is done now, although a new chapter has opened in my life.

“I don’t think he married me to come to England, but to be honest, I don’t really know because he doesn’t open up. people.

“Maybe I didn’t really know him, I was married to my first husband for 30 years before we got divorced and I now realize that my first husband was the best of the bunch. He is now dead, but would have been shocked by all this.

“There’s no way I’m getting him back and now my love and attention is on my cat, Mr. Tibbs. He’s all that matters, I adore him and he never complains.’

Home Office rules allowed Mohamed to enter the UK for a period of two years because he was married to Iris, but now that they have split, it is unlikely he will be allowed to stay in the country.
