Amanda Goff, formerly known as Samantha X, has been rushed to hospital with a heart condition.
The 49-year-old woman shared an update on Instagram from her hospital bed on Monday after dying from the condition.
In her caption, Amanda shared that she had been diagnosed with non-sustained ventricular tachycardia (NSVT).
According to Very good health, NSVT is an ‘abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmia) that begins in the lower chambers of the heart (ventricle)’.
The condition becomes dangerous when it also develops into supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), a “heart rhythm disorder that causes a very fast or irregular heartbeat,” according to the Mayo Clinic.
Amanda explained that she had both problems and that she had to undergo surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney.
“Guys this is a SUPER IMPORTANT post for you guys. I have been diagnosed with a heart condition NSVT/SVT. It is serious, it is life threatening and it is treatable,” she wrote in her caption.
“It all happened so fast – diagnosed on Friday, surgery on Monday. NEVER ignore symptoms. Mine was fainting and almost fainting after exercise.”

She continued, “I was supposed to be on a plane to Canada today. Instead, I’m in the cardiac unit at St. Vincent’s. NSVT is the cause of sudden death and cardiac arrest.
“I’m blessed that I discovered this sooner rather than later. My body knew something wasn’t right, so I had it checked out. If there’s one thing you can take away from this, it’s that you should never ignore what your body is telling you.
“Ladies, please don’t act like you’re feeling faint because of hormones or your period. If it keeps happening, get it checked out NOW.”
Amanda then explained what the future holds for her in terms of continuing treatment.
“I will be able to live a completely normal life — at worst a defibrillator, at best medication,” she said.
“So there you have it, you can be fit, not drink alcohol and all the rest of it, but never, ever be complacent. Get checked out NOW if you have a sneaking suspicion that something is wrong. Your body doesn’t lie,” she added.

Amanda was once Australia’s most famous escort, known as Samantha X. The author and journalist has turned over a new leaf and left the industry that made her a household name
The author and journalist has opened a new chapter in her career, leaving the sector in which she became known two years ago.
In 2022 Amanda told Stellar Magazine that she is ‘ashamed’ of her former career and that she has turned her life around after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2.
“Now that the fog is starting to lift, I feel ashamed of some of the choices I made, especially the fact that I went public,” she said.
“I don’t recognize the woman who did that and I think that’s terrible.”
She continued, “I’m not blaming my bipolar disorder or saying it was all because of my bipolar disorder. But would I have made those choices if I had been diagnosed and put on medication? I probably wouldn’t have been as open about it.”
Amanda says creating her alter ego Samantha X was “a way of dealing with some trauma in her life” and she felt like she was “acting out” when she tapped into that side of herself.
“I felt invincible as Samantha. At that point, I had no problem going out in public, despite the shock from friends and family,” she says.
‘It was like I couldn’t understand their concerns. I was disconnected from them. I was in a kind of trance, which I now understand is mania.’
“It all happened so fast – diagnosed on Friday, surgery on Monday. NEVER ignore symptoms. Mine were fainting and almost fainting after exercise,” she said
Amanda is now back to being the “very traditional and conservative” person she is at heart.
The Sydney influencer was once described as the country’s highest-paid sex worker.
She gave up her successful career as a journalist and took a controversial path, quickly gaining a whole new fan base.
Amanda has become Australia’s most recognizable escort, writing two memoirs and setting up her own lingerie brand, sex toys and agency.
Together with her business partner, she also ran an escort agency.
In addition to her work behind the scenes at her agency, Amanda was busy pursuing a master’s degree in counseling and psychology.
