The world’s most ‘iconic’ restaurant has its name – and it’s not in a renowned foodie hotspot like Rome, Paris or Tokyo.
According to Taste Atlas – an online culinary catalog – a cozy restaurant in Vienna, known for its signature ‘Wiener schnitzel’, has taken the winning title.
Figlmüller in Austria has been nourishing the city for 115 years, perfecting its delicacy, which has become synonymous with the European capital.
Also called ‘the house special that became a symbol of the city’, it is served with a ‘potato salad’ and recommended alongside a glass of wine or beer.
The location, the ‘secret’, is in the pork used for the classic dish, such as ‘pounding’ the meat before battering and frying it.
