Residents are left furious after neighbor’s new update ruined their daily routine
Some Arizona residents are furious that their backyard views have been “destroyed” when a wall is built for a large nearby development.
Betsey Lawrence, a homeowner in San Tan Valley, claims the construction of Ironwood Springs, a development on a former golf course, is affecting her “freedom to go outside and enjoy her backyard.”
She said the developer’s decision to erect an eight-foot-high concrete wall is depriving her of the picturesque view of the former track and disrupting her daily life.
“I call it a monstrosity. I just feel trapped,” she said. Family AZ.
‘I used to go outside and watch the sunset. I had a whole TV set up there and I have a fire pit there that I would sit on and enjoy.

‘All weather conditions, all times, and now I can’t do it anymore. “I don’t like going there because of that wall, which was put up overnight,” said Lawrence, who has lived in her home since 2017.
Other residents have also expressed frustration because the wall runs along the entire west side of the Cambria Ocotillo community.

“We know change is coming. It’s inevitable,” Stockton said. “But it has to be practical and it has to be sensitive to the needs that exist and their quality of life.”
