BREAKING NEWS: Republicans subpoena Amazon, Apple, Meta and Alphabet CEOs for all documents on ‘collusion’ with government to ‘suppress free speech’
Jim Jordan has called on some of the biggest names in the tech world to deliver a series of materials to the House Judiciary Committee.
The president of the judiciary wants all documents and communications related to the alleged collusion with the government and technology companies to suppress free speech online.
The subpoena specifically names CEOs Mark Zuckerberg of Meta; Apple’s Tim Cook; Sundar Pichai from Alphabet; Amazon’s Andy Jassy; and Satya Nadella of Microsoft.
A statement on the subpoena notes that the Judiciary Committee has attempted to engage with the aforementioned five Big Tech companies since December, but has not been followed through.
The five companies must deliver the materials before March 23.
